Things took a shocking turn in December when Blake filed an explosive lawsuit against Justin, in which she alleged he sexually harassed her and created a hostile work environment on set 

Blake and Justin began filming the movie adaptation of the beloved Colleen Hoover novel in May 2023, and it wrapped in early 2024.

On the outside, everything seemed to go well, but when the two stars headed off on a press tour ahead of its release in August 2024, fans began to suspect that something was amiss.

They were quick to notice that Blake and Justin failed to do any promo together, despite playing the two main leads and lovers in the flick.

They didn't even interact once or pose together on the red carpet at the premiere, resulting in a barrage of rumors that they were feuding.

Things took a shocking turn in December when Blake filed an explosive lawsuit against Justin with the California Civil Rights Department, in which she alleged he sexually harassed her and created a hostile work environment on set.

Following Blake's lawsuit, the New York Times released an article about the ordeal and called it a 'Hollywood Smear Machine,' claiming Justin and his PR team 'pushed to prevent stories about Justin's behavior' and 'reinforced negative ones' about Blake.

Justin denied her claims and responded by filing his own $400 million lawsuit against the actress.

It was filled with his own fair share of shocking claims - including one that Blake enlisted her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and her pal Taylor Swift to 'pressure' him into allowing her to make changes to the script.

Last month, Blake and her husband Ryan's legal team requested a gag order to curb what they called 'improper conduct' by Justin's attorneys, citing an alleged 'harassing and retaliatory media campaign' against the couple. 

It came after Justin's attorney released shocking behind-the-scenes footage from the set of It Ends With Us. 

The explosive video, exclusively released by DailyMail.com, showed all three takes of a dance scene between the costars - revealing the pair were on apparent great terms before the actress accused him of sexual harassment. 

Blake hit back at the clip's release, with her lawyers saying it actually proved that she was uncomfortable during the scene.

Her team said that sharing the video with the media 'was another example of an unethical attempt to manipulate the public' and 'a continuation of their harassment and retaliatory campaign.' 

'We are continuing our efforts to require Mr. Baldoni and his associates to answer in court, under oath, rather than through manufactured media stunts,' her lawyer stated.

Justin's attorney Bryan Freedman told DailyMail.com afterwards that their only goal was to 'defend their clients with pure, unedited facts' following her 'disturbingly false and well calculated hit piece' against Justin. 

'The irony is not lost on anyone that Ms. Lively is so petrified of the truth that she has moved to gag it,' he said. 

'The immense power that she wielded in Hollywood built on pure fear of her husband and their powerful friends came to an end the moment Ms. Lively planned a mass distribution of a disturbingly false and well calculated hit piece in The New York Times.'

In addition to his lawsuit against Blake, Justin is now also suing the Times for defamation.

'Ms. Lively did this with the sole intent to ruin the lives of innocent individuals, and then went the extra mile to place blame on a fictitious smear campaign, all because she quite simply could not accept that the public had organically seen through her facade,' Bryan continued.

'When you accuse innocent individuals of something so disturbing as sexual harassment without thinking of the destruction it would cause to not only them, but the entire domestic violence community, this is where accountability for such mean spirited actions must be taken.

'We will always respect the court; however, we will never be bullied by those suggesting we cannot defend our clients with pure, unedited facts.

'All we want is for people to see the actual text messages that directly contradict her allegations, video footage that clearly shows there was no sexual harassment, and all the other powerful evidence that directly contradicts any false allegations of sexual harassment and subsequent smear campaign.

'It seems that in a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.'

But his reaction is said to have left Charlize terrified for her safety. 

'Eleven o'clock. She's now in the War Rig, sitting there with her makeup on and a full costume for three hours,' Mark Goellnicht, a camera operator, said in the book. 

'Tom turns up, and he walks casually across the desert. She jumps out of the War Rig, and she starts swearing her head off at him, saying, "Fine the f**king c**t a hundred thousand dollars for every minute that he's held up this crew," and, "How disrespectful you are."' 

'He charged up to her up and went, "What did you say to me?"' Mark continued. 'He was quite aggressive. She really felt threatened, and that was the turning point.'

'It was like two parents in the front of the car,' she recalled of her dynamic with Tom. 

'We were either fighting or we were icing each other - I don't know which one is worse - and they had to deal with it in the back.

'It was horrible. We should not have done that, we should have been better. I can own up to that.' 

Tom also claimed responsibility over his contribution to the feud in his book. 

'In hindsight, I was in over my head in many ways,' he explained. 'The pressure on both of us was overwhelming at times.

'What she needed was a better, perhaps more experienced partner in me. That's something that can't be faked. I'd like to think that now that I'm older and uglier, I could rise to that occasion.'

'Some [male costars] conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't,' he said via Instagram in a since-deleted post. 

'The ones that don't are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy a**es. 

'When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling - you're right.'

Vin tried to downplay the drama during an interview with USA Today, stating, 'I don't think the world really realizes how close we are, in a weird way. I think some things may be blown out of proportion.

In December 2023, Shannen and Holly Marie Combs reunited for an episode of the Little House on the Prairie alum's podcast Let's Be Clear - and they made a series of shocking claims against Alyssa.

'At this point in my life with my health diagnosis - with fighting horrific disease every day of my life, it is also incredibly important to me that the truth actually be told as opposed to the narrative that others put out there for me.'

After Shannen passed away in July 2024 after a battle with breast cancer, Alyssa addressed their longtime feud in an emotional tribute.

'It's no secret that Shannen and I had a complicated relationship, but at its core was someone I deeply respected and was in awe of,' she said.

'She was a talented actress, beloved by many, and the world is less without her. My condolences to all who loved her.'
