The Costume Designers Guild Awards 'honor achievements of excellence in Costume Design in film, television, short form design, and costume illustration,' as per the website

Nominees are selected for nine categories, including Excellence in Period Film and Excellence in Sci-Fi / Fantasy Television.

Oscar nominated films like The Substance, Conclave, Wicked and Dune: Part Two all snagged nods in their respective categories when the nominations were revealed in December.

Jenny Beavan, a three-time Oscar winning costume designer, received the 2025 Career Achievement Award during the ceremony.

She earned the Academy Award for Best Costume Design for the films A Room with a View (1986), Mad Max: Fury Road (2015) and Cruella (2022).

This year's Distinguished Service Award recipient was former Costume Designers Guild president Salvador Perez, whose design work was featured in The Mindy Project and, more recently, the Hocus Pocus sequel.

Sing Sing star Colman Domingo was also on hand to celebrate the CDGA winners on Thursday night.
