Filter the inbox
On the Submissions page, search, pick a date range, or filter by status, payment, starred, or archived.
Feature · CSV Export
Download exactly what's on screen — filtered by search, date, status, or payment — with the columns you choose.

Your form posts to one splitforms endpoint — no server, API route, or SDK. splitforms is the backend.
Every submission is saved to a searchable dashboard and emailed to you — spam filtered before it lands.
No glue code, no third-party middleman — it ships as part of splitforms and works from your first submission.
Copy-paste ready
Replace YOUR_ACCESS_KEY with the key from your splitforms dashboard. No SDK to install, no build step — the same ts you already write.
// Exports run from the dashboard: Submissions → Export. Pick the format,
// the columns, and the filters that are on screen (search, date range,
// lead status, paid/unpaid, starred, archived).
//
// The same export is a plain GET while you're signed in:
// /api/submissions/export?format=csv
// /api/submissions/export?format=csv&from=2026-09-01&to=2026-09-30
// /api/submissions/export?format=csv&status=new&payment=paid
// /api/submissions/export?format=xml
// /api/submissions/export?format=pdf (print-ready page)
//
// For a script or scheduled sync, use the REST API with your API token:
const res = await fetch("https://splitforms.com/api/submissions?limit=100", {
headers: { Authorization: "Bearer " + process.env.SPLITFORMS_API_TOKEN },
});
const { submissions } = await res.json();How to set it up
How csv export flows through splitforms — what you do, what we do, and what lands in your inbox.
On the Submissions page, search, pick a date range, or filter by status, payment, starred, or archived.
Click Export, choose CSV, XML, or PDF, and select which fields and metadata columns to include.
The file matches what's on screen for the form you're viewing. Spam and deleted submissions are never included.
How csv export works
The export turns your submissions into a file you can open anywhere. From the Submissions page, choose CSV for Excel, Google Sheets, or a CRM import; XML for systems that expect it; or PDF, a print-ready page that opens your browser's print dialog. Route the same submission to an email inbox or a webhook at the same time — nothing here is one-or-the-other.

What you get
Every reason below is the boring, reliable kind — the fundamentals of csv export, built once and tested in production so you never have to.

How SplitForms works
splitforms receives the submission, filters spam, saves it to your dashboard and emails you — then, on paid plans, sends it on to your webhooks and integrations. No backend infrastructure to build.

Point your form to your unique SplitForms endpoint. That's it.

We instantly capture and organize every submission in your inbox.

Send data to email, spreadsheets, CRMs, webhooks, and 7,000+ apps.

No credit card required. Set up in under 60 seconds.
Connect & automate
On paid plans, submissions can also go to Slack, Discord, Google Sheets, Notion, Airtable, Zapier or any signed webhook — and splitforms works on the platforms you build on, from WordPress and Shopify to Next.js. With Stripe connected, your forms can take payments too.

Common questions
Open the form's Submissions page, apply any filters you want, click Export, choose CSV, pick the columns, and download. The file opens in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers and can be imported into most CRMs.
Exports are included on the paid plans: Pro ($5/month) or Annual ($49/year). On Free, every submission stays viewable and searchable in the dashboard.
Yes. The export follows the filters on screen — a content search, a date range, lead status, paid or unpaid, starred, and archived — and covers the form you're viewing.
No. Spam and submissions in the recycle bin are excluded from every export format. Recover a false positive from the Spam queue first if you need it in the file.
For scheduled or scripted syncs, use the REST API: GET /api/submissions with an API token returns submissions as JSON, filterable by form and date. For a live spreadsheet, connect Google Sheets or Airtable instead.
