Prices checked October 10, 2026

Basin pricing starts with a Free plan of 50 submissions a month on one form, with 30-day retention and 100 MB of uploads. Paid plans, billed yearly, are Starter at $12.50/month (250 submissions, 3 forms), Growth at $24.17 (1,000, unlimited forms, webhooks), Pro at $40.83 (5,000) and Agency at $108.33 (25,000). § 01Basin pricing tiers

How much does each Basin plan cost?

Basin has a Free plan and four paid tiers. Webhooks start on Growth, the pricing page lists retention as unlimited from Growth up (see the note below on Basin's 48-month deletion policy), and every plan, Free included, comes with file upload storage.

Checked October 10, 2026 on usebasin.com/pricing. *Prices shown are list prices. Basin's new-customer coupon (50% off for six months) shows Pro as $30.62/mo ($367 for the first year) and Agency as $81.25/mo ($975) on yearly billing. †Basin's pricing page and docs list retention as unlimited on Growth and above, but its GDPR page says submissions are deleted automatically after 48 months, so treat four years as the practical ceiling and confirm with Basin if you need longer. Extra submissions are billed monthly, from $5.25 per 1,000 down to $2.00 per 1,000 at the highest volumes.

§ 02Free plan comparison

Basin pricing vs splitforms: how do the free plans compare?

Basin's published Free tier is built around one low-volume endpoint. splitforms removes that ceiling: 500 free submissions total spread across as many forms as you create, with owner email notifications included on every plan — not gated behind a paid tier.

When is Basin's free plan enough?

Basin and splitforms solve the same problem at different traffic levels. Use the checklist below to see which one fits the site you're building today.

§ 03Basin works when
  • Your website has one low-volume form and 50/month is enough.
  • You like Basin's dashboard and do not need a larger free tier.
  • Your team already uses Basin and switching would not save meaningful time.
§ 04splitforms works when
  • You want 500 free submissions total before upgrading.
  • You manage multiple forms, client sites, frameworks, or environments.
  • You want signed webhooks, a REST API, built-in spam filtering, and a developer-first dashboard.
§ 05Switch from Basin

How do you move a Basin form to splitforms?

You don't need to rebuild the form. Basin and splitforms both accept a standard HTML POST, so switching is a one-line endpoint change plus a hidden field.

  1. 01

Get a free access key. Sign in to splitforms and copy the access key for your form. The Free plan needs no credit card.

  2. 02

Swap the endpoint. Change the form’s action from Basin’s URL to https://splitforms.com/api/submit and keep method="POST". Every other field stays the same.

  3. 03

Keep the honeypot field. Leave the hidden botcheck input empty so real submissions pass spam filtering.

  4. 04

Send a test submission. Submit the form once, confirm it lands in your splitforms dashboard and inbox, then retire the old Basin form ID.

The Free plan is $0 for 50 submissions a month on one form.

When did Basin change its pricing?

Between its March 13 and May 16, 2026 web.archive.org snapshots, Basin renamed and repriced its paid plans: the 250-submission plan went from $5.83 to $12.50 a month billed yearly, and webhooks moved from a $12.50 plan to Growth at $24.17. The Free plan stayed at 50 submissions a month on one form.

What does Basin's free plan include?

Basin's pricing page lists a Free plan with 1 form endpoint, 50 submissions per month, 30-day data retention, basic spam protection, AJAX support, and Zapier integration. Check Basin's pricing page for live details before buying.

Which Basin plan includes webhooks?

Growth ($24.17/month billed yearly) is the first Basin plan with webhooks; Free and Starter don't include them. splitforms includes signed webhooks on its paid plans: Pro at $5/month or Annual at $49/year.

Do spam submissions count toward Basin's limit?

No. Basin says only legitimate submissions count toward the monthly limit, and filtered spam doesn't.

What happens if I go over Basin's monthly submission limit?

It depends on the plan. On paid plans Basin keeps accepting submissions over the cap and bills the extras monthly at your tier's rate, from $5.25 per 1,000 extra at lower volumes down to $2.00 per 1,000 above 100,000 extra, or you can upgrade. On the Free plan, Basin's docs say you get email warnings as you near the limit and submissions may be restricted until the next month once it is reached.

Does Basin's free plan support file uploads?

Yes. Basin Free includes 100 MB of upload storage, rising to 500 MB on Starter, 2 GB on Growth, 10 GB on Pro and 50 GB on Agency. On splitforms, file uploads are a paid feature: 500 MB of storage on Pro and 5 GB on Annual.

How much more free traffic does splitforms include?

splitforms includes 500 submissions total on its Free plan; Basin lists 50 submissions/month on Free. These are different billing periods, so compare expected usage over the account lifetime as well as monthly volume. splitforms has unlimited forms; Basin's listed Free plan is limited to one endpoint.

When is Basin a good fit?

Basin can be a good fit when you like its dashboard and only need one low-volume endpoint. It is also established and has a polished form-submission workflow.

When is splitforms a better Basin alternative?

splitforms is better when you want 500 free submissions with no time limit, unlimited forms on every plan, signed webhooks and native integrations on paid plans, built-in spam protection (honeypot, time-trap field, rate limits), developer-first API docs, and paid plans from $5/month (Pro) that unlock every paid feature.

How do I connect my form to splitforms instead of Basin?

Point your form’s action at https://splitforms.com/api/submit with method="POST" and a hidden access_key input that identifies your form. Multipart submissions and file fields are supported on paid plans, and you can also submit as fetch/JSON from React, Next.js, or any frontend.

Does splitforms support webhooks and Zapier like Basin?

Basin's documented Free plan includes Zapier integration. splitforms's paid plans, Pro at $5/month and Annual at $49/year, add HMAC-SHA256 signed webhooks (8-second timeout, one automatic retry on a timeout or 5xx), plus native 1-click integrations for Google Sheets, Notion, Airtable, Slack, Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, and Mailchimp. Zapier, Make, and n8n connect through a generic webhook.

What does splitforms cost after the free plan?

Pro is $5/month for 5,000 submissions a month, and Annual is $49/year for 15,000 a month with every Pro feature. Both unlock webhooks, integrations, file uploads and team seats.

Can I read submissions with code instead of Basin's dashboard?

Yes. splitforms has a REST API at GET https://splitforms.com/api/submissions, authenticated with a bearer token from Dashboard → MCP, and a free MCP server (12 tools, including create_form and list_submissions) so AI agents can build and read forms directly.
