Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms are an agreement between you and Miltiadis Themelis ("Statly", "we", "us"). They apply to the Statly web app at app.trystatly.com, the Statly Chrome extension, the Statly API and MCP connector, and our website. By creating an account, installing the extension or using any of them, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, please do not use Statly.

2. What Statly Is

Statly is a research tool for short-form video. The web app follows the public Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and X accounts you choose: our servers re-read their videos and posts daily (accounts quiet for 14 days or more weekly) and keep the results for you. The Chrome extension audits a public account in your own browser when you click. Statly never asks for your social-media passwords and never posts, follows or acts on any platform for you.

3. Who Can Use Statly

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use Statly for a company or a client, you confirm that you may accept these Terms for them. You must give a real email address and keep access to it, because that is how you sign in.

4. Your Account and Team

Your account belongs to the email address you sign in with, and you are responsible for what happens in it. You can invite teammates into your workspaces as viewers, editors or members, up to your plan's seats (Starter 5, Scale 10, Agency and Enterprise unlimited). Everyone you invite can see what the workspace tracks and saves, and the email addresses of the other people in it. You are responsible for who you invite, and removing someone ends their access at once.

5. Plans and What They Include

A web app plan is sized by its videos: how many videos, inside the scan window you choose, it keeps up to date across all your accounts. Current plans and prices are on our pricing page and at checkout. If the accounts you track post more than your plan holds, nothing is switched off: we update the newest videos first and the oldest keep their last numbers, and the app tells you so. A fair-use limit on the number of accounts and on new accounts added per day applies to every plan; the app shows you where you stand.

6. Free Trial

New customers can try the web app free for 7 days, with up to 500 videos and 20 accounts. You enter a card at checkout, and unless you cancel before the 7 days end, your plan starts and your card is charged automatically for the first billing period. You can cancel during the trial at no cost, or end it early with "Start my plan now", which charges you at once. One free trial per email address.

7. Billing, Renewal and Extra Videos

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record, so your contract of sale is with them and we never see your card. Plans renew automatically every month or year until you cancel. On Scale and Agency monthly plans you can add up to two blocks of 1,000 extra videos: adding is charged at once for the days left in the period, and removing takes effect at your next renewal. Changing plan, or switching to yearly billing, ends any extra videos at once.

8. Failed Payments

If a payment fails, daily updates stop at once and the app shows how to update your card. You can still read your data for 3 days; after that the app locks until the payment goes through. As soon as it does, your account is active again and updates restart at the next scheduled scan.

9. Cancelling and Deleting Your Account

You can cancel at any time from Settings → Manage Subscription or the Lemon Squeezy portal. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and you will not be charged again. Your account, niches and Library stay so you can pick up where you left off if you come back. You can export your tables to CSV, and you can delete your account and everything in it yourself in Settings → General → Danger zone, which also cancels your subscription.

10. Refunds

Payments are non-refundable, except where the law says otherwise. If something does not work, write to info@trystatly.com first: we would rather fix it. Nothing here limits your legal rights as a consumer, including any right to withdraw from a purchase that applies to you.

11. The Chrome Extension

The extension is free to install and use, with daily limits on audits. If you connect it to your web app account, it unlocks its full features for as long as your web app plan or trial is running (Viewers stay on the free version). Existing extension Pro subscriptions keep their features, including cloud sync, until they end; new Pro subscriptions are not sold. Transcription uses your own Groq or OpenAI API key, and your use of that provider is governed by your agreement with them.

12. API, MCP and Notifications

On Scale, Agency and Enterprise plans you can read your workspace's data through the Statly API, or connect an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT through our MCP connector. On every plan you can send alerts to Slack, Discord or Telegram. When you connect one of these services, the data you send there is handled under that service's own terms, and you are responsible for the keys and connections you create. We may limit the number of calls to keep the service stable.

13. Public Data and Fair Use

Statly only reads content that is publicly visible on the platforms, through third-party data providers, and never data from private accounts. You may track accounts for legitimate research, such as studying your niche, competitors or potential partners. You must not use Statly to harass, stalk, or build profiles of individuals, to resell the data, to copy or scrape Statly itself, or to get around plan limits or safeguards. You must also follow the rules of the platforms you research and the law that applies to you.

14. Downloads and Creators' Rights

Videos, pictures and posts you see or download through Statly belong to their creators. Statly lets you save them for your own research and reference only; anything else, such as re-posting or using them in ads, needs the rights-holder's permission. A creator or rights-holder who wants their content removed from Statly, or not tracked at all, can write to info@trystatly.com and we will act on it. Section 11.3 of the Privacy Policy explains how.

15. Accuracy and Availability

Figures are the ones our last successful scan returned, so they can differ from what a platform shows right now. A scan can fail or return less when an account is private, restricted or deleted, when a platform changes, or when a data provider has a problem; the app says which, and tries again at the next scan. We work to keep Statly running but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any platform's data will stay available.

16. Our Rights and Yours

Statly's software, design and brand belong to us. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Statly while you follow these Terms. What you create in Statly, such as niche names, tags and folders, stays yours, and you allow us to store and process it to provide the service. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or build a competing product from Statly.

17. Liability

Statly is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, business or data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit, including for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or your mandatory consumer rights. You agree to cover our losses if a claim against us is caused by your breach of these Terms or your misuse of data from Statly.

18. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts the service or other people at risk, or does not pay. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you the chance to fix it or export your data. We may also change or discontinue features; if we discontinue a paid service you have prepaid, we will refund the unused part.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Statly changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and we will email web app customers about material changes before they take effect. If you keep using Statly after that, the new Terms apply; if you do not agree, you can cancel.

20. Affiliate Program

Statly runs an affiliate program through Lemon Squeezy that pays commission for referring new paying customers. It has its own terms, shown in the affiliate portal, and we may change or end it at any time.

21. Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Greece. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim there.
