Claiming your file is free. Verified on Jid, $12 a month or $120 a year, adds a badge linked to the live file, a statement signed by Jid that anyone can check, and an e-mail whenever a registry fact on your file changes.

How it works

  1. Claim the file

    Prove control of a website domain Jid already holds for the business: an e-mail link to an address at that domain, a DNS TXT record, or a file at /.well-known/jid.txt. Without a held domain a person reviews the claim. Claiming is free.

  2. Add owner statements

    Owner statements appear in their own section, labelled self-reported. A claim never edits a registry fact.

  3. Subscribe from your account

    After the claim the file appears on your Jid account (sign in with the claim address), and you also receive a private manage link. Subscribe from either, monthly or yearly; cancel any time. The plan never changes a registry fact or your status line.

  4. Display the badge

    The badge links to the live file. Its JSON form is signed with Ed25519; the public key is at /.well-known/jid-keys.json. We e-mail you when a re-check records a change on your file.

Any file can show the plain “Jid file” badge, free. “Verified on Jid” is shown only while the file meets the published standard: the owner proved control of a domain on the file, a current official registration is on file, no block-level check fails, and the plan is active. If a criterion fails the badge reads “Verification suspended” until it passes again. Paying never overrides a failed criterion. Verified on Jid means these checks passed and the owner proved control; it is not an endorsement.

Verified on Jid, for your website

A small logo badge for your site's footer. Visitors read it as: “This website is operated by a registered business that proved it controls this domain and is not on any sanctions, exclusion or threat list Jid checks. Click to see the live public record.”

  1. Sign in

    With your work e-mail: we send a one-time link, no password.

  2. Verify each website

    From your business's file, press “Get your website verified”. Prove control of the domain (a DNS TXT record, a file at /.well-known/jid.txt or an e-mail link to an address at the domain); Jid then checks that the website names the registered business. Add as many websites as you run: each is verified on its own.

  3. Turn on Verified on Jid

    $12 a month or $120 a year. The badge reads “Verified on Jid” only while your file meets the published standard.

  4. Paste one line of HTML

    Your owner page gives you the snippet. The badge links to your live file, so anyone can check what it says.

The state is never set by hand: if a re-check finds a criterion failing (a lapsed registration, a sanctions or exclusion listing, a threat-feed listing, a lost domain), the badge switches to “Verification suspended” on its own and returns when the file passes again. Paying never overrides a criterion. It is a plain image served from a CDN: no script and no cookies.
