The trust API for AI agents
Jid

Pricing

Free to start. Cents to scale.

Files, search and claiming are free for everyone. A free API key, no card, includes 1,000 checks a month. After that a check costs $0.05 or less, and you only pay for what you use.

Everyone, developers and AI agents

Every file is public. A free account lifts the limits: an e-mail link, a short profile, no card, no password.

  • Every file, with sources, dates and change history
  • Web search and API search, free
  • REST and MCP with no key: 10 requests a minute, 100 a day per IP
  • Free key: 1,000 checks and 100 monitored files a month, 30 requests a minute
  • Claim your business's file and add owner statements

Verified on Jid

Owners of a claimed file

$12a month, or $120 a year

Claiming your file is free and always will be. The plan adds the badge and alerts. Paying never changes a registry fact or your status line.

  • The “Verified on Jid” badge for your site, linked to your live file
  • A signed statement anyone can check
  • An e-mail whenever a registry fact on your file changes
  • Cancel any time

Claim your file

Free

Prove control of the business's domain and add owner statements, shown labelled self-reported. A claim never edits a registry fact. Find your file.

Questions

What counts as a check?

One read of one business file with an API key: GET /v1/entities/{id}, GET /v1/entities/{id}/verify, or the MCP tools get_business_file and verify_business. A qualification (POST /v1/qualify or the MCP tool qualify_counterparty) counts as 2 checks, because it also makes live domain checks. A screen with a key (/v1/screen or the MCP tool screen) counts as 1 check, and an e-mail header check (/v1/email-check, check_email) as 1. Search (/v1/search, search_business), creating or listing monitors, and anything on the website are not checks. A request that fails on our side is not a check.

What does a screen cost?

Each engage-or-not screen (GET or POST /v1/screen, the MCP tool screen) with an API key counts as 1 check: $0.05 a screen or less on pay as you go, and the 1,000 free checks a month cover 1,000 screens. Without a key, screening works on the free tier (10 calls a minute, 100 a day per IP), which is what the browser extension uses until you add a key. It is half the price of a qualification because it returns the decision without the scored write-up.

What does a lead qualification cost?

Each call to POST /v1/qualify or qualify_counterparty counts as 2 checks: the business file read plus the live DNS, domain registration and website checks. On pay as you go that is $0.10 a qualification or less, and the 1,000 free checks a month cover 500 qualifications. POST /v1/qualify needs an API key; the MCP tool qualify_counterparty also runs without one on the anonymous tier (rate-limited per IP, like screen). Qualification is for businesses, never individuals.

How does the free allowance work?

Every key includes 1,000 checks and 100 monitored files a month. On a free key the allowance resets on the 1st of each month (UTC) and the key pauses checks at 1,000 until then; search keeps working. With a card, the first 1,000 checks and first 100 monitored files of each billing month are free, and you pay only for the rest.

Do I need a key for an AI agent?

No. The MCP server works with no key at 10 tool calls a minute and 100 a day per IP. Add a free key for 1,000 checks a month and higher limits. See connect an agent.

Why do you ask for a permissible-use certification?

Jid is business information, not a consumer report. Every key, free or paid, is issued only after you certify you will not use Jid for credit, employment, insurance or housing decisions about individuals. See the Permissible Use and FCRA Notice.

How is usage billed?

Payments are processed by Stripe. Usage is reported once a day and invoiced monthly in arrears; monitored files are billed on the number active at the end of the billing month. See the API and MCP Terms.

How do I cancel?

Reply to any billing e-mail or write to hello@jid.com from the address on the key or plan. Pay as you go: usage up to the day you cancel is billed, nothing after, and you can keep a free key. Verified on Jid: the badge stays until the end of the period you paid for.

Does paying change what a file says?

No. Facts come only from the cited registries and the status line is computed from them by published rules. No plan, payment or claim can add, edit or hide a registry fact.
