2Google Analytics#
What it collects. When it runs, Google Analytics 4 receives the address of the page you are on (without its query string), the page you came from, your browser, device type, screen size, language, approximate location, and events such as page views, scrolling, clicks on links that leave the site and product actions (running a playground check, copying an MCP configuration, requesting a free key, starting checkout, sending a design partner application, recorded as fixed codes and never as what you typed), with the random identifier in the _ga cookie. We do not send your name, e-mail address, API key, the businesses you search for, or any other information that identifies you, and we do not use User-ID.
IP addresses. Your IP address reaches Google when the tag loads and when it sends a measurement. Google Analytics 4 uses it to derive an approximate location and, according to Google, does not log or store IP addresses. In the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland none of this happens until you choose Agree.
Advertising features off. The tag is configured with Google signals and ad personalisation turned off (allow_google_signals and allow_ad_personalization_signals set to false). We do not link Google Analytics to any advertising account, and we use it only to understand which pages are read and to improve the site.
Retention. Google Analytics keeps event-level data for no more than 14 months (the property's data retention setting); after that only aggregated reports remain.
Search and private pages. Google Analytics is never loaded on the search page, so what you search for is not sent to Google. Owner management pages, claim links and the pages shown after checkout carry a secret in their address; Google Analytics is never loaded on them either, and if it is already running when you move to one of these pages, the address is reported only as "/(private)".
Google acts as our service provider (processor) for Google Analytics; see the Subprocessors page (/subprocessors). Google's own information on how it uses data from sites that use its services: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
3Consent and your choices#
- EU/EEA, UK and Switzerland: Google Analytics is not loaded until you choose Agree in the notice. Before that, your browser makes no request to Google.
- Everywhere else: Google Analytics loads after the page has finished loading, and the same notice lets you choose Decline.
- How we tell where you are, without storing it: your browser's time zone, and a check that returns only "EU" or "not EU" for your connection's country. If either suggests the EU, UK or Switzerland, or the check fails, the consent-first rules apply.
- Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends it, Google Analytics stays off unless you choose Agree on this site.
Changing your mind. "Cookie settings" at the foot of every page reopens the notice. Choosing Decline stops any further measurement at once, tells Google Analytics that consent is withdrawn, and deletes the _ga and _ga_XR2CXRD8P8 cookies. Withdrawing consent does not affect measurement already made with it.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out add-on (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

| Stripe | Stripe's checkout pages, on Stripe's domain, after you choose to buy an API key | Stripe's cookies for payment processing and fraud prevention, under Stripe's cookie policy | Set by Stripe on its own site |
Badges embedded on other websites are served as plain images and statements from jid.com and set no cookies.
If you block Cloudflare Turnstile, those forms will not submit, and you can write to hello@jid.com instead.
5Changes#
Until 5 October 2026 Jid used no analytics and set no cookies, and this notice said so. Google Analytics was added on that date, and this notice and the Privacy Policy (/privacy) were updated before it went live. If we add any other cookie or tracking technology, we will update both first, list each cookie by name, ask for consent where the law requires it, and say here when the change was made.
Change history#
- : Legal review. Cloudflare Turnstile is listed on every form that uses it (sign-in and design partner forms were missing).
- : Account sign-in cookie (__Host-jid_session) added before accounts went live.
- : Google Analytics added, with consent first in the EU/EEA, the UK and Switzerland. Before this date Jid set no cookies.
