The 31-year-old pop star appeared to channel the Wicked Witch of the West - Elphaba Thropp (portrayed by her castmate Cynthia Erivo) - while clad in a huge black puffer coat.
Fans screamed and clamored as they noticed Ariana hopping into a waiting SUV after pre-taping Thursday's episode of The Drew Barrymore Show.
While on the syndicated series, Grande (born Butera) wore a pink grey-striped Thom Browne corset with a matching midi-skirt and grey pumps selected by stylist Mimi Cuttrell.
When the 49-year-old host surprised the two-time Grammy winner with the original Glinda wand used in The Wizard of Oz, which was on loan from a private owner, she pretended to steal it.
