Resize Image to 2500×2500
2500×2500 is a 6.25-megapixel square — big enough for print-on-demand artwork and detailed product zoom, and a round figure that appears in plenty of upload specs. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Need a smaller file instead? Compress or convert.
Drag the preview to choose which part of the image is kept. The same framing is used for every image in the batch.
Why choose 2500×2500?
2500×2500 is a square image of 6,250,000 pixels (6.25 megapixels) in a square (1:1), mostly used for high-resolution product photos, covers and prints.
1:1 square shape
The square (1:1) proportion decides how your photo is framed: plan the subject around that shape before you crop.
Where it is used
2500×2500 suits high-resolution product photos, covers and prints. Using the exact size avoids a website scaling or cropping your image on its own.
Prints 8.33×8.33 in at 300 DPI
That is 21.2×21.2 cm at photo quality, or 16.7×16.7 in at 150 DPI for posters viewed from a distance.
About 980 KB–1.9 MB as JPG
A typical photo at 2500×2500 saves to roughly 980 KB–1.9 MB at good JPG quality; WebP is usually 25–35% smaller.
Sharp results
A 12 MP phone photo has 2× more pixels than 2500×2500, so resizing down keeps it sharp.
Framing control
Filling 2500×2500 from a 4:3 phone photo trims about 25% of it. Drag the preview to choose what stays, or tick “Keep aspect ratio” to keep it all.

Preparing a 2500×2500 upload
Print-on-demand. Services that print designs on mugs, cushions, stickers and posters often quote minimum pixel sizes rather than DPI. A 2500-pixel square covers many small products at good quality — check the exact template for each product, as mugs and phone cases use non-square print areas.
Print size. 2500 pixels at 300 DPI is 8.33 inches. At 250 DPI, which is fine for most merchandise, it is 10 inches.
Transparency. Designs for merchandise usually need a transparent background. Use PNG as the output format so the transparency survives. If your art is a JPG, convert to PNG first — though note that conversion does not remove a white background by itself.
Large product images. For listings, 2500 pixels gives very deep zoom. It is more than most storefronts display; if page speed suffers, compress or use 2000×2000.
Upload limits. Files at this size can exceed 1–2 MB as PNG. Use the compressor if a form rejects the file.

Frequently asked questions
Is 2500×2500 high enough resolution for printing?
Yes for prints up to about 8×8 inches at 300 DPI, and up to around 10 inches at 250 DPI, which is fine for most merchandise. For larger posters, use a larger original or check your print service's minimum for that size.
What aspect ratio is 2500×2500?
2500×2500 has a square (1:1) aspect ratio. Any size with the same ratio — for example 2400×2400, 3000×3000 — can be scaled to it without cropping.
How big will a 2500×2500 image print?
At 300 DPI (photo quality) 2500×2500 prints at 8.33×8.33 inches (21.2×21.2 cm). At 150 DPI it covers 16.67×16.67 inches, fine for posters seen from further away.
How large is a 2500×2500 file?
A photo at 2500×2500 is usually 980 KB–1.9 MB as a JPG, and about 680 KB–1.3 MB as WebP. If you need it smaller, run it through the compressor afterwards.
Will my photo lose quality at 2500×2500?
No — a normal phone photo is much larger, so it is scaled down and stays sharp.
Can I resize to 2500×2500 without cropping?
Yes. Tick “Keep aspect ratio”: the whole picture is kept, but one side may come out shorter than 2500×2500. Without it, the image fills 2500×2500 exactly and the edges that do not fit the 1:1 shape are trimmed.
Are my images uploaded?
No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser. Nothing is transmitted or stored, and you can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
