About ToolBench

ToolBench is a small collection of free tools for converting and compressing images, built around one simple idea: your files should never have to leave your device.

Why we built it

Most online image tools work by uploading your files to a server, processing them there, and sending them back. That means your personal photos and documents end up on someone else's computer, protected only by a promise to delete them later. We thought that was unnecessary.

Modern browsers are powerful enough to convert and compress images on their own. So that is exactly what ToolBench does — everything runs locally, in your browser, on your machine. Nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and there is no limit on file size or how many files you process.

What that means for you

• Private by default — your images never travel across the internet.
• Fast — no waiting for uploads or download queues.
• Unlimited — no caps, because there is no server cost to cover.
• Free — no account, no sign-up, no paywall.

The tools

Right now you can convert images between formats like JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, PDF and more, and compress images to reduce their file size or hit a specific size limit. We are adding more tools over time.
