Product as described, but concerns about SOP's
The product is as described and I received it in a timely manner. However, Busch Systems reached out to me asking for my social security #. Allegedly, this is a new request when importing anything from Canada into the US.
After researching this and speaking with multiple retailers that we order from on Etsy and other sites, the only time this could be necessary is if the item is extremely expensive. But a $150 item does not qualify.
They went ahead and shipped the item but warned me they have no control over customs from Canada to US. Bottom line, asking consumers for their social security # should not be normalized. This is how identity theft happens.

We understand your concern with providing sensitive information like a social security number. The reason we ask is due to U.S. Customs requirements when a business ships goods across the border to a private individual (rather than another business), U.S. Customs requires an identification number for the importer of record. For individuals, this is typically a Social Security Number. We must stress that this is strictly provided to the custom's broker, it is not printed anywhere on a shipping label or box and is not recorded on the invoice or in any of our systems.
While there is the possibility that a smaller shipment can clear customs without this, we prefer to provide all customs documentation to the customs broker to ensure the shipment will not be stopped at the border as this can cause not only shipment delays but costly fees to then provide the required information.
We appreciate your willingness to work with us on your shipment and are happy to hear that it arrived in a timely manner.

Overall, solidly built unit and stylish for its purpose.
Our unit must have been assembled on a Friday. Right door fell off after removing shrink wrap. Found two of the four screws lying in the bottom of the door channel.
