This template is to be used by teams wanting to get Technical Committee approval for an ongoing initiative to continue in 2018-19. This is
the second stage in the MAHKOTA Quality Assurance Process.

2017-18 Update

Please provide an update to the Technical Committee on the following (where relevant): (up to 350 words)
 Key achievements to date (on implementation since 2016-2018);
 Any significant contextual changes (e.g. policy and implementation changes, changes to program goals and outcomes?);
 What has worked well, what has not worked well;
 Key challenges and risks to initiative success;
 The key achievements to date related to Gender Equity and Social Inclusion (GESI);
 How the initiative is tracking towards sustainability.

What is the specific goal (outcome you hope to achieve) for implementation in 2018-19?

Implementation and Management Arrangements (How?)

Please provide an update on how the program will be managed, especially if there have been changes since the implementation. For
example, is there an inter-ministerial committee now overseeing implementation? Are other Government ministries more involved in
implementation? (up to 350 words)
Please also complete the attachments on:
 Any new positions/advisers (STA, fixed term) that needs to be hired to design and deliver the initiative (Procurement Plan &
Staffing attachment). If you need to discuss job/position levels and approximate budget, please contact the MAHKOTA HR
Manager.
 What procurement of services and goods will need to be undertaken. Include a procurement plan outline, including timeline (the
Procurement Plan and Staffing Attachment). Please consider timeframes needed for this procurement (and MAHKOTA’s
preference, where possible, to undertake procurement early in the implementation year).
 Implementation schedules / work plan / timelines: please provide detail work plan (the Work Plan Attachment) and the detail of
key activities, field trips and procurement in the attached budget with timeframe so MAHKOTA’s finance team can prepare
monthly budget requests.

Gender Equity and Social Inclusion Plan

How will this initiative address and integrate GESI? Explain specific activities you will implement in 2018-19 that addresses GESI.
How will it address the need of vulnerable groups (women, girls and people with disability, children and the elderly)?

Sustainability Plan

 How will you ensure that the activities will be wrapped up and completed in time and will be sustainable without MAHKOTA support?
 Explain what are specific outcomes in 2018-19 to ensure sustainability of your initiative? For example:
o Achieving buy-in from Government counterparts to implement the results/recommendations of the initiative beyond MAHKOTA
support
o Increased the capacity of Government counterparts to implement the recommendations of this initiative
o Increased Government funding/contributions towards initiative implementation;
o Supporting Government regulations and policies are expected to be formalized in 2018-19 which will support implementation.

Knowledge Management Plan

 Regarding to promoting policy uptake, what concrete steps will the initiative take to foster policy uptake with decision-makers?
