How do I schedule a DEV article?

Connect your account with a DEV API key, write the article with its title, Markdown body, cover image and tags, and pick a date and time. PosteAhora publishes it on dev.to at that moment.

Where do I get a DEV API key?

On dev.to, go to Settings → Extensions and generate a key under DEV Community API Keys. Keys don’t expire; you can revoke one any time.

Is the article written in Markdown?

Yes. The body is sent as Markdown, exactly as you wrote it, so headings, code blocks and links come out as on DEV.

The first image becomes the cover; any others are placed inline in the article, in order. DEV has no photo gallery of its own.

How many tags can I add?

Up to 4, which is the most DEV allows on an article; the composer won’t schedule more.

Can I cross-post from my blog without hurting SEO?

Yes. Set the canonical URL to the original post, and search engines treat your blog as the source.

What happens if a post fails?

You get an email with the reason, and you can retry the post with one click from your posts list.

Can an AI assistant schedule DEV articles?
