Image Watermark
Add a visible credit or label to your own photos with text or an image file. Choose one of 9 placements or repeat the mark across the frame, adjust its size and opacity, then save the result. The preview and download use the same watermark settings.

No picture chosen yet. The watermarked preview appears here once you add one.
The mark is 12% of each picture's own width, so one setting suits a folder of photographs at different sizes. Tab to the placement grid and the arrow keys walk the mark around the nine cells. Text is drawn in a font your device already has, up to 200 characters, and each picture may hold up to 50 megapixels.
Common questions
- How do I add a watermark to an image?
- Choose pictures to open your photo. Select Text and replace the Mark text with your name or credit. Pick a cell in Placement, then adjust Opacity and Scale while watching the preview. Select PNG or JPEG under Save as and press Save PNG or Save JPEG. Your original file stays on your device; the download is a separate watermarked copy.
- What is a watermark image?
- A visible watermark is text or a logo layered onto a picture, such as a photographer's credit or a DRAFT label. Here it becomes part of the saved pixels. This tool does not embed invisible identifiers or detect watermarks in an image.
- Is it free to watermark an image?
- Yes. Adding text or a logo and downloading a single image or a batch is free and needs no account.
- Are my pictures uploaded anywhere?
- No. Photos and logo files are decoded and drawn in this browser tab. Only watermark settings are remembered in browser storage; picture files are never stored there. If storage is blocked, the tool still works.
- Can I watermark a batch of photos at once?
- Yes. Choose or drop multiple pictures, then use Save all to download each marked file. Click a queue row to preview that picture first. Downloads keep the original name with -watermarked added. Files the browser cannot decode are named in a message and left out of the queue. Your browser may ask permission for multiple downloads.
- Does one setting work on photos of different sizes?
- Yes. Mark width is a percentage of each picture's width, inset is a percentage of its shorter side, and tile spacing is relative to the mark. Doubling the image dimensions doubles the watermark dimensions and placement distances.
- How do I turn an image into a watermark?
- Open the picture you want to mark, then select Logo and choose the image you want to use as the watermark. Adjust Scale, Opacity and Placement, or choose Tiled to repeat it. A PNG logo keeps its transparent areas and its original proportions. The download contains your marked picture, not a separate logo file. PNG output preserves photo transparency; JPEG fills transparent areas with white.
- Can I add a DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL watermark?
- Yes. Select Text and enter DRAFT or CONFIDENTIAL in Mark text. Choose One mark and Centre for a single label, or Tiled for a repeated label. Angle rotates the label and Opacity controls how strongly it shows. These are visible labels; they do not restrict access to the file.
- Can this remove an existing watermark?
- No. This tool adds visible text or image marks to your picture. Setting Opacity to 0 hides only the mark added here; a watermark already in the source picture remains.
- What do opacity and scale mean?
- Opacity runs from 0 to 100 per cent. Scale is the mark's width as a percentage of the photo's width: 12 per cent of a 1600 pixel photo is 192 pixels. For text, the font size follows from the measured width of your words, so a longer line uses smaller type at the same scale.
- Which fonts can the text use?
- Sans, Serif and Mono use fonts already on your device, with a Bold switch and a colour picker. No font is downloaded. Text is limited to 200 characters; longer marks are refused with a message rather than shortened.
- Is there a limit on picture size?
- Each picture can hold up to 50 megapixels. There is no file-size limit in bytes. Tiled layouts are capped at 2,000 marks; if a layout needs more, raise Scale or Spacing, or choose One mark.
- Can I place the mark without a mouse?
- Yes. Tab to the placement grid and use arrow keys to move among its cells. Arrow keys also adjust the sliders. The current watermark is described in words under the preview.
The watermark is drawn onto a canvas in your browser and baked into the image you save. Neither the photo nor the logo is uploaded. Placement, size and tile spacing are exact arithmetic on that picture's own pixels, and a baked-in mark is a visible credit rather than a lock: anyone holding the file can crop it off or paint it out.
