Terms of use

These terms apply to the Ambolt websites (ambolt.dev, app.ambolt.dev), the Ambolt Link Checker, the developer endpoints at api.ambolt.dev, the MCP tools and the Apify Actors published under the Ambolt name.

What you get

Focused software tools. The Link Checker finds links on web pages and reports whether they answer. The developer tools return public information with its source and date. Results are provided as is: we aim for accuracy but do not guarantee it, and websites and sources can be wrong, slow or unavailable.

Ambolt Link Checker

• Free online check. One check a day per visitor, up to 60 links from the page you enter. We may change these limits to keep the service available for everyone.
• WordPress plugin. Free software under the GPL. It runs on your own server and contacts only the links it checks.
• Cloud plans (apply when the web app opens). Scheduled checks, alerts and reports for the sites in your plan. Plans renew monthly or yearly until you cancel, and stop at the end of the period you paid for. Cancellation and refunds are described in the refund and cancellation policy, a template until billing opens. Billing opens with the first release and is handled by a merchant of record, who will be named here; until then nothing can be bought or charged.
• Your sites. Only check sites you own or are allowed to check. Repeated checks of a site need proof that you control it. Our checker identifies itself as AmboltLinkChecker/1.0 and limits its rate per host; see the site owners page.
• Your data. What we store and for how long is in the privacy policy. You can export your data and delete your account in the app; deletion has a 7-day undo window and is refused while a paid subscription is active.
• Abuse. We may suspend an account that checks sites it is not allowed to check, or that overloads others. Owners of checked sites can ask us to stop at any time; we then add the site to our do-not-crawl list (where one of our customers has proven control of it, we review the request first).

Developer tools: not advice

Nothing here is financial, investment, legal, tax or compliance advice, and nothing is a recommendation or a trading signal. Crypto tools are read-only or produce unsigned transactions that you review and sign yourself. We never hold your keys or funds.

Developer tools: payment

Endpoints are paid per successful call in USDC through the x402 protocol; Actors are billed per event by Apify. Prices are shown on each page and in the 402 response and may change for future calls. A call that fails because of invalid input or an unavailable source is not charged. Payments for successful calls are final.

Acceptable use

Do not use the services to attack or overload systems, to evade sanctions, or in breach of law. Some tools are unavailable in certain jurisdictions. We may rate-limit or block abusive use.

Data sources

Each developer-tool response names its source and licence. Where a source requires attribution, you must keep it when you reuse the data.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from use of the services or reliance on their results. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may change or withdraw tools and these terms. We list material changes in the changelog. Continued use means you accept the current version.
