Ambolt Link Checker: free online check 2026-10-10

New at /link-checker/check: a free broken-link check of one page, up to 60 links, one check a day, no sign-up. It tells a dead link from a bot-protection wall (blocked, never counted as broken) and suggests a fix for each broken link and redirect.
The free Ambolt Link Checker plugin for WordPress is submitted to WordPress.org and in review. It is not listed yet; /link-checker links to it the day it is.

New free tools and API: NACE code finder and Rev. 2 to Rev. 2.1 converter at /codes, with ISIC Rev. 4, explanatory notes and labels in 24 EU languages; the same data as the industry-code-lookup API and MCP tool.
New CRA File tools at /cra: product classifier, repository check, SBOM checker, licence notices, security.txt generator and the CRA Index of popular packages.

Canadian federally incorporated companies and other federal corporations (for example not-for-profits) resolve by corporation number, business number or name from the Corporations Canada open data (Open Government Licence - Canada), refreshed weekly: legal name, governing act, status including dissolution-pending notices, anniversary date, address and business number. Provincially incorporated companies are not covered. Available on the API and MCP server.

Singapore companies, foreign company branches and LLPs resolve by UEN or name from the ACRA entity register on data.gov.sg (Singapore Open Data Licence v1.0): legal name, legal form, status, UEN issue date and registered street and postal code. Sole proprietorships and partnerships are not returned.

Brazilian companies resolve by CNPJ number, with or without punctuation: legal name, trade name, legal form, status, start date, address, CNAE industry code and size class. Individual entrepreneurs (MEI) and natural-person forms are not returned, and neither are partner lists, phones or e-mail addresses. Name search is not available for Brazil.

Estonian companies resolve by name, 8-digit registry code and EE VAT number from the e-Business Register open data (CC BY 4.0), refreshed weekly, with legal form, status, registration date and address. Sole traders are not returned. Available on the API and MCP server.

New tool at /tools/pdf-to-markdown: drop a PDF and get Markdown, tables as CSV and invoice or receipt fields. It runs in your browser and the file is never uploaded; it uses the same layout engine as the DocToJSON Actor.

A table row whose description continues on the next line is now one row, and right-aligned number columns stay separate columns even when a header above them is left-aligned.

Fields are now read from the visual lines of the PDF instead of the joined Markdown, so one labelled line no longer swallows the next.
Percentages in a label (VAT (20%): 432,80 EUR) are skipped, an ID-like number is not taken as an amount, and labels for Italian, Portuguese, Polish, Czech and Swedish were added to the invoice template.

Latvian companies resolve by name, registration number and LV VAT number from the Register of Enterprises open data (CC0), with legal form, status, dates and address. Individual merchants and farms (natural persons) are not returned.

Domain queries now also search the domain name when the home page is blocked, and a hit that came only from the domain name is marked as weak evidence with a score below 90.
Norwegian VAT numbers (NO923609016MVA) resolve to the register entry.
Short Finnish names such as Nokia and Kone are found; the ambiguity flag ignores subsidiaries with longer names when the best match is exact.

New template input (invoice or receipt) finds invoice number, dates, supplier, customer, VAT number, subtotal, VAT, total and currency without any setup, with labels in English, German, French, Spanish, Dutch and the Nordic languages.
Each field shows the line it came from and a confidence level; fields that are not found are reported as not found.

Company registry lookup: names, domains, registry numbers, LEIs and VAT numbers resolved against the registers of Norway, Finland, Czechia, Slovakia, France and the United Kingdom, Poland by KRS number, plus GLEIF.
