Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Robert Michael Treanor (professionally known as RMT) was gifted with the ability to master various musical instruments at a very young age. Ultimately, it was his love of the piano that would serve as the gateway to a career in producing songs of his own.
RMT's diverse musical and cultural background resulted in a talent able to transcend genre classification, although his current focus is on Trance and Chillout projects.
RMT's early influences include Trance legends ATB, Pulser, Paul Oakenfold, and Blank & Jones - as evidenced in his own releases like Grey Sky, Desolate Hope, and Distance Space, which are reminiscent of a classic sound that few present-day producers are able to replicate.
