Whether it is playing parties for the cast of Bridgerton or raising the roof at 100 Wardour Club, Ambo pulls from over 12 years of performance experience and his broad musical knowledge to blend music from house and commercial to hip hop, R&B, and club classics, to soul, funk & disco favourites, mixing with global beats such as south Asian, afrobeats, amapiano, Latin and dancehall.
Ambo is a huge purveyor for music of his South Asian heritage promoting awareness to new generations and new ears that may not have heard before, introducing these sounds to other DJs around the world, launching the DJcity South Asian music catalogue, curating a monthly playlist alongside a team of talented DJs producers from the DJcity team.
As a radio presenter and producer for London’s AsianFX and Lyca Radio, Ambo has interviewed Bollywood superstars, such as Shah Rukh Khan & Badshah, to homegrown talent such as Navin Kundra & H-Dhami. He is also a guest mix DJ across BBC Asian Network.
