I’m Chris Carragher, known as Chris Caggs — an Australian Radio DJ, Podcaster, and Music Programmer with 30 years shaping the sound of Dance, Hip Hop, RnB, and electronic music. Inspired by my father, Olympian Gavin Carragher (1956 Melbourne Olympics, 1958 Cardiff Commonwealth Games), I’ve built a career driven by passion, discipline, and a love for music culture.
My journey spans 18 radio stations and syndication to 200+ community stations nationwide. I began on Pump FM 99.3FM in 1998, later joining DJ‑FM 87.6FM, a major force in Sydney’s dance‑radio scene. From 1999–2001, I became a key voice on Groove FM Sydney & Brisbane, hosting breakfast shows and shaping music programming during a golden era of Australian dance radio.
I went on to host Saturday Shakedown, Tuesday Shakedown, and Tuesday Overdrive on 2RDJ‑FM, plus Thursday Flavours on 2NSB FM.
Today, I host ShakeDown Radio, a globally syndicated mixshow blending EDM, Dance, House, Hip Hop, and RnB
