Raw chicken stored improperly, eggs kept on trash can discovered at Phoenix-area restaurants

Food not kept at the proper temperature and eggs kept on top of a garbage can are among this week's Dirty Dining violations.

PHOENIX (AZFamily)Every week, Arizona’s Family looks up restaurants recently inspected by Maricopa County’s Environmental Services Department. Restaurants with some of the highest numbers of “risk factors,” considered major health code violations by inspectors, are selected for our Dirty Dining Report. Here are the Valley restaurants that did not make the grade for January 29, 2025:

Krazy Cajun Seafood and Hibachi - 9880 S Rural Rd #105, Tempe

3 violations

  • Employee drinks above prep table
  • Raw chicken stored above raw beef
  • First aid kit above prep table

Maggiano’s Little Italy - 16405 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale

3 violations

  • Bartender squeezing citrus with bare hands
  • Packaged raw chicken stored above roasted tomatoes
  • Garlic and onions not kept cold enough

The Creek Patio Grill - 28244 N Tatum Blvd, Cave Creek

3 violations

  • Raw prime rib above vegetables in cooler
  • Chicken wings out of temperature
  • Wine bottle stored in ice used for customers

Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen - 11051 N Black Cyn Hwy, Phoenix

4 violations

  • Lettuce and pickles stored under raw shrimp
  • 2 batches of bisque not cooling properly
  • Fondue and creole not kept hot enough
  • Crab and crawfish out of temperature

Bosa Donuts - 3701 N Central Ave, Phoenix

4 violations

  • No certified food manager
  • Raw eggs resting on top of trash can
  • Medicine stored over ready-to-eat food
  • Proofing dough overflowing from container onto bottom shelf
