Lovable has changed my professional…

Lovable has changed my professional life in a very positive way. I am an English teacher and the director of Unity Chile, and I use the platform to create interactive educational applications for children, teenagers, and adults. It has allowed me to transform my teaching ideas into real, professional digital projects, even without being a programmer. I am a paying subscriber and use Lovable regularly. I am very grateful for everything I have been able to create. Thank you for making education more innovative and accessible.

Lovable didn't just help me build an application—it unlocked an entirely new way of creating software.

I've been building an AI-powered SaaS platform to help organizations comply with Chile's new Personal Data Protection Law (Law 21.719).

As a Business Process Management (BPM) and AI consultant, my goal is to transform a complex legal and compliance challenge into an intelligent, user-friendly platform that organizations can adopt quickly.

Lovable has fundamentally changed the way I build software. Instead of spending months writing code, I can rapidly turn detailed product requirements into a working application, iterate with my clients, and validate ideas in days rather than months.

What impressed me most is that I'm not a full-time software developer. Lovable has enabled me to focus on product vision, business value, and user experience while dramatically accelerating development.

I'm now building a complete MVP connected to GitHub, Supabase, and modern AI services, with the goal of scaling it into a commercial SaaS product for multiple organizations.

Thank you for creating a platform that truly empowers domain experts to become software creators.

From idea to a published web app in no time!

I was able to get a functional web application in minutes just by providing clear description of how i wanted the app to function, with real time preview and testing. The best part is that i was able to publish my app within the lovable environment, without the hassle of migrating my project and database to other platforms... A seamless end to end experience.

Lovable's own terms allow them to use users' code on their platform

I'm based in the UK, where copyright law treats AI-assisted works differently than the US does. I vibe coded a security algorithm called Asper on lovable.dev in August 2025, within a project called Plumbercheck. In January 2026, I noticed lovable.dev's own login flow closely matched the one I'd built for Asper, and I raised a copyright infringement complaint with them. Their legal team responded stating that, under their terms, you own the code you create — but Lovable also holds a license to use that same code to improve their services, including building features into their own platform, with no mention of any payment, royalty, or compensation to the creator for that use.
In June 2026, I told Lovable that I believed most ordinary users don't expect that license to extend as far as it does. The next day, Lovable updated their terms and conditions. I'll leave readers to draw their own conclusions about the timing, but I'd encourage anyone interested to check the archived version of the terms themselves.
This isn't just theoretical for me. I have 60+ projects in my Lovable account, including startups I've applied for funding for. I believed in good faith that owning the copyright meant I retained exclusive control over that code. I now have to disclose to any investor that Lovable holds a broad license to use the same code, including in their own product, and I don't expect many to proceed once they hear that — regardless of how the underlying dispute is resolved.
Lovable denies copyright infringement, and this dispute is ongoing. I'm not asking anyone to take my word over theirs — just to read the license terms in their IP clauses before relying on the platform for anything you intend to keep exclusive.
I published a website and some videos on YouTube under "Loveless Gate" with more details.

Trust Nothing, Spend to confirm!

I don’t usually leave negative reviews, in fact i think it might be my first one ever, but after spending nearly £4,000 on this platform in just a few weeks, I feel I owe it to other potential customers to share my experience.

I understand software development. I understand AI has limitations. I don’t expect perfection, and I don’t expect every prompt or every feature to work first time. Bugs happen, edge cases exist, and complex software is difficult to build.

That isn’t why I’m writing this review.

I chose Lovable because the vision is genuinely exciting. The idea of building software with AI has enormous potential, and when the platform works, it’s genuinely impressive.

Unfortunately, my experience was overshadowed by one fundamental problem:

I reached a point where I could no longer trust what I was being told.

More than £1,600 of my spend was simply trying to transfer image files between two projects within the same account. This wasn’t about creating complicated functionality or solving difficult engineering problems. It was simply moving existing assets from one project to another. What should have been a straightforward task became an expensive cycle of repeated prompts, changing advice and repeated failures.

That alone was frustrating.

What ultimately caused me to lose confidence, however, was something else entirely.

On multiple occasions, the AI explicitly confirmed that it had completed work I had asked it to do.

After checking the results and questioning them, it later admitted that it hadn’t actually completed the work it had claimed.

In one conversation it acknowledged that it had “read two files and then extrapolated the rest.” It admitted that its conclusions “were not backed by the work I claimed,” and described its own behaviour as providing “incomplete work dressed up as certainty.” It also acknowledged that this had wasted my credits, my time and my money.

That wasn’t simply an incorrect answer.

It was being given confidence that work had been completed when it hadn’t.

Those are two very different things.

From that point onwards, I found myself manually checking almost everything the AI told me. Instead of accelerating development, I was paying to verify whether the previous answer was actually true.

Separate from the image migration issues, I also experienced repeated problems while developing functionality. I was frequently told that fixes had been implemented, only to discover they hadn’t. The same work was revisited over and over again, consuming more prompts, more credits and more time.

The financial cost was significant, but the loss of trust was far more damaging.

When you’re building a business, your development tools need to be dependable. If every completed task has to be independently verified, much of the productivity advantage disappears.

I contacted support regarding the amount I had spent trying to resolve these issues. While I appreciated receiving a small goodwill credit, it was nowhere near reflective of the costs I had incurred following guidance that repeatedly had to be revisited.

I genuinely hope Lovable succeeds because I believe the vision is outstanding.

However, based on my own experience, I cannot recommend it for serious or business-critical projects in its current state.

The issue wasn’t that the AI made mistakes.

The issue was that it repeatedly assured me work had been completed, only for me to discover that it hadn’t, and, when challenged, it acknowledged exactly that.

For me, that’s where confidence in the platform was lost.

Thank you for taking the time to write this — and for being as specific as you were. Spending that much and then losing confidence in whether the work was actually done is genuinely frustrating, and I understand why that would be a dealbreaker. I've sent a Find Reviewer request via Trustpilot so we can follow up directly and have a proper conversation.

I tested the free service and in less than 10 minutes, I got the full result. First time. First experience with Lovable and there was my ask. In the next minute, I subscribed the Pro package and I developed my business website. And people are enjoying it.

Finally, "coding" is fun again

Finally, "coding" is fun again. Lovable's AI assisted web page building is easy, fast, and intuitive. After coding in C++, Rust, JS, NodeJS, CSS, XML using Lovable's interface is refreshing. I am building my business web site, and it is looking great!

Now the bad thing about Lovable's credits policies: I am not happy about setting credits limits (daily). Sometimes I feel like "coding" all day, sometimes I don't. But on the days that I feel productive, I would like to rock and roll and not worry about credits limit, and I am not willing to pay $200 per week to use Lovable. Also, I don't know anyone that likes to "code" so I can get free credits. Friditas Bazar is looking good! Thanks.

Lovable is really not worth it if you…

Lovable is really not worth it if you try to build something else than just an outdated, simple website for your e-commerce (Shopify remains better for that anyway), or just like an agency page. I think Base44 is better

Lovable support is terrible and the site has bugs/issues.

Lovable is a good site, but there is one reason I’m rating it one star. Because of the terrible support for free users. If you are a paid user, support is better, but still not nearly as good as it should be. If you’re on the free plan though, it is better to not even try. Every time you just get sent to an AI. Today I encountered a bug on lovable and I emailed lovable again hoping that maybe for issues like bugs on their website, I might get a human. Nope. I got an AI bot who could only tell me to contact lovable support in the lovable support email. I wanted to migrate off lovable cloud onto my own supabase backend project. After I added all the data (which took days) and got everything ready to connect it, I hit connect, and it didn’t work because I was out of credits. First of all, I looked online (even on the lovable docs) and that isn’t supposed to stop the connection. And I wasn’t trying to connect it through chat, just through the UI. This is just one of my terrible experiences so I would personally recommend: Don’t use lovable. You’ll just end up wasting large amounts of time and then having it all point to nothing.
