Terms of service
Last updated 23 September 20261. Acceptance of terms
By accessing and using rekey.dev, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement.
2. Description of service
rekey.dev provides Rekey, a self-hostable, multi-tenant authentication and provider-agnostic billing platform for developers. Rekey does not process payments and is not a payment processor: you connect your own payment provider account (such as Stripe, PayPal, or Razorpay) and funds settle in that account, not ours. Rekey records subscription, license, usage, and credit state, and relays provider webhooks.
These terms cover Rekey Cloud, the hosted service we operate. Self-hosted deployments of the open-source software are governed by the MIT license that ships with the source, not by these terms.
The Rekey Cloud free plan is offered subject to fair use. We set usage limits on it according to what it costs us to run, and we may change them or restrict an account whose usage is out of proportion to a free plan. Support on the free plan is community support on Discord and GitHub, given as time allows.
3. User responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Use the service only for lawful purposes
4. Payment terms
Payment terms are based on the plan you select. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
Rekey Cloud is billed per workspace, monthly unless a longer term is agreed. A workspace on Cloud Free covers one production application and a workspace on Cloud Standard covers three; applications in development and staging environments are unlimited and not billed. If you move to a plan with a lower limit, production applications that are already running keep serving; only creating, promoting or re-enabling a production application above the new plan's limit is refused. Plans are subject to fair use. If your usage consistently exceeds your plan we will contact you before restricting anything.
5. Limitation of liability
rekey.dev shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
