From input to an actual model

Two fills, one real hole

3.000 × 1.516 × 0.397 model units · 884 triangles · standard quality · bevel on

Original SVG · ring and star
Original pink ring with an open center beside a purple star
Actual GLB · solid material colors

This original vector becomes two colored meshes. The ring’s center stays open. GLB and the OBJ/MTL package retain the solid fill colors; the meshes are separate and are not joined into one printable body.

Before you export

Prepare filled paths

Use SVG under 250 KB. Convert live text and strokes to filled outlines in your vector editor. Embedded raster images, gradients and masks are not turned into matching 3D surfaces.

Inspect holes and layers

Rotate the result and use wireframe to check curves and open centers. Separate shapes stay separate. Overlapping layers are not joined and can intersect or flicker.

Keep the right files

GLB is a single file with solid fill materials. The OBJ ZIP includes OBJ and MTL; keep them together. Depth uses model units. For a physically sized print, use the SVG to STL workflow.

Questions about SVG to 3D Converter

How does this vector to 3D converter work?

It reads filled SVG shapes and extrudes them into meshes with optional beveled edges. It centers the artwork and fits its longest flat side to about three model units; extrusion depth is kept separately.

Why does my SVG produce no shape?

Stroke-only drawings and live text have no supported filled contours here. Expand strokes and outline text in your editor, remove unsupported layers, then export SVG again.

Do holes and colors survive the conversion?

Supported filled paths retain their hole contours and solid colors. The example ring has an actual open center. Complex self-intersections, gradients and overlapping layered artwork require separate checking.

Can I export STL or an animated SVG?

This page exports static GLB and an OBJ/MTL package. It does not export animation or an editable SVG. Use SVG to STL for a millimeter-sized geometry-only print workflow.

Is this free, and is my input uploaded?

The tool and its exports are free, with no sign-up or generation credits. Your selected artwork or typed text is processed locally. Loading the page and its libraries still uses network requests.
