Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use JustMarkdown only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others or restrict anyone else's use of the Service.

• Only submit content you have the right to use, store, convert, and export
• Provide accurate information when creating an account or contacting support
• Keep your account secure and promptly report unauthorized access
• Respect the intellectual property rights of others

You must not use the Service to do any of the following. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive.

• Process or distribute content that is illegal, infringing, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise harmful
• Generate, store, or distribute malware, spam, phishing, or other abusive material
• Attempt to access, reverse engineer, or extract source code, model weights, or internal systems
• Circumvent authentication, rate limits, paywalls, or usage quotas
• Overload, crash, or disrupt the Service, its servers, or the networks and services it depends on
• Use the Service to build a competing product or to scrape data at scale for model training
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission
• Use the Service in a way that violates applicable export or sanctions laws

Some routes use AI models to summarize, translate, answer questions, or convert content. You are responsible for how you use the output and for ensuring it is appropriate and lawful for your context.

Do not use AI-assisted routes to generate content that violates these rules, to impersonate real people, or to deceive others into believing AI output is human-authored where that would be materially misleading.

We may review, restrict, or remove content and accounts that we believe violate this policy or create risk for us, our users, or third parties. We may also suspend access without prior notice where we consider it necessary for safety or legal reasons.

Reporting a concern does not create a private right of action. If you believe content on the Service infringes your rights, contact us with the specifics.

Violations may result in warnings, feature restrictions, credit forfeiture, temporary suspension, or permanent termination of your account. We may also take technical or legal steps to prevent ongoing abuse.

Where a violation causes harm to others or to us, you may be held responsible for that harm to the extent permitted by law.

To report a violation or abusive content, email hi@justmarkdown.com with "Usage Policy Report" in the subject line. Include the relevant page, API route, account identifier, and a short description of the issue.

We may update this Usage Policy as the Service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service or by email. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
