Prepare your next social post
Codex + Influence

Draft social posts from your project with Codex

  • Shape a post alongside your code and launch work
  • Review the exact accounts, copy and media before scheduling
  • Check each account’s publishing status and link

Codex can draft an announcement from your release notes. Influence holds the post for review, schedules it after approval and shows whether each account published it.

How do I connect Codex to Influence?

In Influence Settings → Apps and automations, choose Codex, create a scoped key and follow the native MCP command. Codex reads INFLUENCE_MCP_TOKEN from its environment; keep the key out of prompts and source files.

Explain the benefit without claiming features beyond the notes. Save a draft and show me its review link; do not publish or schedule it.

Posts for your connected accounts

A draft can include several accounts connected to Influence. Each account’s version is shown for review before you approve publishing or scheduling.

What can a Codex workflow do with Influence?

Codex can prepare drafts, request a publishing review and check the results through its Influence connection.

Connected accounts

Choose from accounts connected to your workspace. Influence checks current eligibility again before committing a post.

Editable drafts

Create, read, and revise a draft without losing its other destinations or history.

Images and videos, in order

Choose ready images and videos from Influence Media and arrange them in the order the destination supports. Review every attachment in a supported visual review or while signed in to Influence. Videos always require signed-in review. Complete TikTok Direct privacy and consent choices in the Influence editor.

Exact review

Review the accounts, text, image, settings, and timing together. A material change calls for a new review.

Scheduled publishing

Choose to publish or schedule after confirmation. Influence keeps the accepted job in its durable scheduler.

Destination status

Inspect each destination separately and open a published link only after Influence has verified it.

What to check before approving

From draft to published post

  1. Draft saved

Saved drafts stay editable until you choose to publish or schedule them.

  2. Post reviewed

Review the accounts, text, media, settings and time. If any of these change, review the new version before approving.

  3. Schedule saved
