Terms of use
Last updated October 8, 2026 · Applies to the Dreamlock app (on the App Store for iPhone) and this website, including its free dream interpreter.
What Dreamlock is — and isn't
Dreamlock is a personal journal for dreams, with interpretations offered for reflection. Interpretations describe what historical traditions say and what psychologists commonly observe. They are not predictions of the future, and they are not medical, psychiatric, legal, or financial advice. If dreams or sleep regularly cause you distress, please speak with a qualified professional.
Your content
Your dreams are yours. Dreamlock claims no ownership of anything you record, and stores your vault on your device (and, if you enable sync, in your own iCloud). Paintings generated for your dreams are yours to keep and share.
The service
- The app is provided "as is"; we work hard on quality but do not warrant that interpretations are complete or fit for any particular purpose.
- Subscriptions are billed by Apple and can be cancelled anytime in Settings → Subscriptions; pricing is shown in the app before purchase.
- We may update these terms as the product evolves; the date above will change when we do.
Website content
Articles on this site — the dream dictionary and guides — are provided for reading and reflection under the same honesty rules as the app: traditions are attributed heritage, not fact; nothing on this site predicts the future or offers medical advice.
The free dream interpreter
- The dream interpreter on this website is free and offers one reading a day. To keep it free for everyone it is limited per connection and in total each day, and it may rest or close without notice.
- Its readings are written by Claude, a model from Anthropic, from our dream dictionary and under the same honesty rules as everything else here: traditions are attributed heritage, nothing predicts the future, nothing is medical or psychological advice. Read them for reflection.
- Write only your own dream, and leave out other people's private details. Don't use the interpreter for anything other than reading dreams, and don't try to automate it.
- The reading and the card you make from it are yours to keep and share. How your text is handled is set out in the privacy policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If a disagreement can't be settled with a friendly email first, it belongs to the courts located in Delaware.
