A scalpel, not a suite.
What DokuTrak does
You list the documents you need from a client: last year’s return, three bank statements, a signed engagement letter. DokuTrak turns that list into one upload link and sends it. To start from a ready-made list, use the document checklist generator.
The client uploads from any device without creating an account. Reminders follow until every item is in, each file can get a first check, and you accept it or ask for a new one in one click. What you receive is a complete, reviewed packet instead of a thread of attachments.
It does one job. No billing, no calendar, no CRM, no messaging, no e-signatures.
What makes DokuTrak different
- Clients upload without an account. The client opens one secure link and uploads against your checklist, with reminders attached. No password, no verification email. ShareFile request lists make the client sign in, and its no-account File Drop has no checklist and no reminders.
- One price per team, not per seat. Team is $199 a month and covers up to five seats. ShareFile charges per user, so the bill grows with every hire. Prices compared on each vendor’s page.
- A first check at upload. Switch on AI First-Pass Review and an upload that looks like the wrong document, the wrong period or an unreadable scan gets a flag and a one-line reason, within your plan’s monthly allowance. It is off by default, and a person at the firm accepts every file. Content Snare also skips the client login, but its documentation describes no check on the uploaded file.
- Reminders that stop on their own. Reminders go out on a schedule the workspace sets and stop once the request is complete. Each one shows in the request’s activity, marked delivered or failed.
- Works from your AI assistant. The open-source dokutrak-mcp connector lets an assistant such as Claude create and send a request, check its status or ask for a replacement file. See all features.
Who uses DokuTrak
- Accountants and tax preparers collecting W-2s, 1099s and statements before a return.
- Bookkeepers chasing the month’s bank and card statements.
- Small US law firms in immigration, personal injury, family and real estate, gathering the file for a matter.
- Mortgage brokers and real estate agents assembling a loan or transaction file.
- Recruiters and HR teams onboarding a new hire.
- Consultants and agencies getting a client’s assets before the project starts.
Not big-law enterprises, consumer e-signature or internal document management. If your current tool is email, Dropbox or alogin-walled portal, DokuTrak is built for you.
The team behind DokuTrak
I am Arthur Teboul, founder of DokuTrak. I am also co-founder and CPO of Sobrii, a B2B SaaS platform, and I trained in business law and tax (Paris-Panthéon-Assas, HEAD) and management (emlyon). You can find me on LinkedIn.
DokuTrak comes from automation work for small firms and solo practitioners. Whatever the project, the same wall came back: the work could not start until the client sent their documents, and they arrived late, in pieces, by email. A client portal was the usual answer, but a client who deals with a firm a few times a year skips the login and emails the attachment anyway.
So in 2025 I started building the other shape: the link is the product, the reminders run on their own, and a person at the firm makes the final call on every file.

Email me directly at arthur@dokutrak.com. I read every message. If you are a lawyer, accountant, or small firm operator with a document-collection workflow that is broken, I want to hear about it even if you never buy the product.
How we operate
DokuTrak is based in France and built for the US market. The app runs in a Paris data center, files are stored encrypted on Cloudflare R2, and every view and download is written to an audit log. The full posture is on the security page.
Pricing starts at $79/month for Solo, with Team and Agency tiers for larger firms. The pricing page lists what each plan includes.
We publish the numbers behind the problem, each checked against its original source, along with our own analyses of public data: read our client document collection statistics.
