How to use Portfolio Allocation

List sleeves with target percents and a total portfolio value. Read dollar targets per sleeve before you buy or rebalance.

Example: splitting $10,000 across three assets

You plan a $10,000 portfolio with targets of 50% BTC, 30% ETH and 20% SOL.

  1. BTC: $10,000 × 50% = $5,000
  2. ETH: $10,000 × 30% = $3,000
  3. SOL: $10,000 × 20% = $2,000

The percentages add up to 100%, so the whole budget is allocated. If they do not, the tool shows how far off you are.

Formula & methodology

target$ = portfolio × target%. Percents should sum to ~100% for a full book.

Write crypto allocation targets in dollars

Allocation policy beats FOMO sizing. Turning percents into dollars makes the next deposit or rebalance concrete.

When live weights drift, open the rebalance tool. Track marks in the portfolio tracker.

Frequently asked questions

What does the allocation planner do?+

It turns target sleeve percentages into dollar notionals for a given portfolio value so you can deploy or rebalance with a written policy.

Allocation vs rebalance — which first?+

Set allocation targets first. Use rebalance when live weights drift from those targets.

How many sleeves should I use?+

Keep the set small enough you will maintain it. Too many micro-sleeves creates churn and fee drag.
