A senior citizen invested in good faith
As a senior citizen looking to invest profit that I had made on South African property investments, I invested with Wealth Migrate in all good faith.
I entered into six different deals on Wealth Migrate.
To date, 19 May 2026, dividends are outstanding for all deals except one which paid out in November 2025 and nothing since then.
Two of the deals have terminated but my capital has not been returned.
I also invested into a convertible debt deal on the Global Wealth Group. This was converted to company shares which I agreed to.
To date, no share certificates have been issued to me.

BECOMING EMPOWERED WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE ALIGNED
I am a creative person and don't pay to much attention to finances. I have been bumbling along trying to figure things out and in some cases have followed the wrong people, failed miserably but others succeeded. Having said that there have been no fireworks or anything achievements to brag about. I attended the 5 Day Diversification Challenge this last week. The information shared for free has been overwhelming. Scott has shared a lot. He is heart centred and you can see how passionate and knowedgeable he is about his work and that he wants to empower others. He has already done so by building a community of like minded people who are experts in their own fields of knowledge and between them they seem to have helped many others WORLDWIDE! These folks are out of my league but I believe we need to surround ourselves with people who know more than we do inorder to be empowered and step up our game. On one of the days I upgraded to VIP and also jumped onto a free call with one of his colleague's as I needed to see if going forward this might be a fit. It has given me an overall picture and direction and I am grateful that impromptu decision to go with the flow and attend the challenge. Thank you to Scott and his team.

Wealth Migrate
Wealth Migrate, Scott Picken and Orbvest scammed a group of South African investors for about R100Million in a scheme in Australia.
The property was transferred to several companies in different countries, until the investors had no share in the company and the property was sold without one cent being returned to the investors.
Scott Picken himself borrowed a large amount from me when Wealth Migrate was in trouble, that was never returned and he is impossible to contact.

Nico, this matter has been addressed more than once, including in formal correspondence to investors and to the project attorney. I understand the frustration surrounding this project, and I have repeatedly acknowledged that it has not delivered the outcome investors were entitled to expect.
However, parts of your review contain allegations that do not reflect the full context. As I explained to Kensington investors in my February 2024 letter, while I was CEO of Wealth Migrate at the time, I was not part of the original Investment Committee that selected and approved this deal, nor did I establish the deal structures or manage the movement of funds. The original Investment Committee and property team operated separately from Wealth Migrate’s operational business, and the property team later transitioned into Orbvest.
For clarity, Hennie Bezuidenhoudt introduced this deal to you, chaired the original Investment Committee, and was closely involved in the initial due diligence and oversight. Questions around how the deal was originally selected, structured, and managed should therefore be directed to those who were responsible for those decisions. As you know, neither I nor anyone else at Wealth Migrate served on that original Investment Committee.
When the original process later broke down, a new Project Committee was formed and you were one of the elected investor representatives on that committee, alongside myself and others. We then spent years working on this matter and meeting regularly in an attempt to understand what had happened and to explore ways to recover value for investors.
I also personally invested substantial funds in this project and suffered a significant loss myself. As outlined in my investor letter, I have continued to assist in good faith on a voluntary basis for several years, including engaging with the new developer and requesting clarification from Adrian Edwards, the attorney involved, so that investors could receive a clearer explanation of what occurred.
I also believe it is important not to avoid discussing this project or the lessons it has highlighted. I regularly reference it when presenting on investing as an example of the importance of diversification and proper international investment structuring. It has been one of the biggest lessons of my own investment career. The differences in approach to structuring and diversification were also one of the reasons the businesses ultimately separated in 2018, with the property team continuing on to form Orbvest while Wealth Migrate pursued a different model.
You have also stated that I am “impossible to contact”. However, you have had direct access to me, including via WhatsApp, and I have continued engaging on this matter long after many others involved in the original decision-making stepped away.
Regarding the separate point about funds lent to the company, those matters were addressed through a formal process with debt holders where options were presented and agreed. The amounts were converted into shares with the agreement of the relevant parties, including yourself, with the intention of continuing to build the company and create long-term value for shareholders.
Finally, I remain involved in this matter not only as someone associated with Wealth Migrate at the time, but also as an investor who suffered losses in the deal. Like you, I continue to seek updates from the new developer and pursue whatever recovery may still be possible.
I am genuinely sorry for the losses suffered here, including my own. At the same time, it is important that public discussions around this project reflect the full context and the roles played by the different parties involved.
