Ive been with usertesting for about 6 months now. The service was great abs I had a positive experience completing surveys. A few days ago I got an email saying I violated their T&C and my account is now deactivated. I sent an email to support asking how I violated T&C with no reply. I have pending payments that were cancelled. I completed surveys and performed honest hard work and in good faith need to be compensated for my time.

There are two UserTesting sites. The OG UT (app.usrtesting) is fine. What used to be Intellizoom (network.usertesting) has some serious issues at the moment that are not being addressed.
Periodic technical issues are one thing, and to be expected on any platform, but for multiple testers to suddenly have whole blocks of tests of all types rejected without cause points to a major flaw in a recent code update or process.
I'll gladly update this once the issue is resolved as UT has been great up until the past few days. I'm really hoping that they will address the issue. This negative review is being posted in the hope that someone with the power to do so will give this the attention it deserves. There are open support cases regarding this. Please take a look at them.

Many users, myself included, have had all pending Intellizoom (now UserTesting) tests suddenly cancelled and payments withheld, with no explanation. Some people received a generic message after opening a support ticket claiming they violated the Terms & Conditions, while others have been ignored entirely.

The fact that this happened to a large number of users at the same time makes it extremely unlikely that everyone coincidentally breached the T&Cs. It seems far more likely that a system error, mass‑flagging glitch, or other bad-faith internal issue is occurring.

Even if multiple users somehow did violate the T&Cs simultaneously, withholding money that testers have already earned is completely unacceptable and unethical. Work completed in good faith should be compensated, regardless of any later account issues.

There is discussion about this on Reddit, where many users are reporting the same issues (cancelled tests and unpaid balances) all happening around the same time. This suggests the problem is on UserTesting’s side, whether due to an exploitative decision or a systems failure, rather than with the testers.

I joined this company about 6 weeks ago. I began completing surveys and earning money. Suddenly all my test/survey history disappeared. I also stopped receiving available surveys and tests. I created a help ticket to inquire. They claimed I violated a policy and deactivated my account. No warning was given and they also refuse to disclose which policy I violated. This is has been a very unfair and sad experience with this company.

Unexpectedly after 3 years of being a contributor, all of my pending payments were marked as canceled with no notification nor reason given.
I opened a support ticket and have no gotten a response.
Furthermore, research led me to Reddit threads where this happened to many other people with large outstanding due payments at the same time it happened to me.
This is either some kind of AI implementation glitch or a directed effort to steal money - either way, I would now recommend to not spend effort with this company as they cannot be trusted.

They allow you to do tests and pile them while you continue to do as many as you can qualify. At some point they then cancel all the tests and leave you in the dark about the payments that were due especially if you were owed money that day where some paid and the others did not due to some blocking feature on their platform. Beware of this platform and do not waste your time as they are not a solid place to offer your time and input as a participant. If you continue using the platform after reading this, any money you have pending or majority of that will vanish and you will have no one to blame but yourself as you have been warned.

After I sent a comment back to you, you sent this for me to reply to and now I’m not getting any tests at home and nine of my tests have been canceled. I’ve never had that before and now I’m not getting any tests at all and I was getting 20 tests at least pretty much each day. Now I’m not getting any test and I’m very upset about this because I’ve been doing this for quite a while now

I liked the company's approach to new users and I think the company is doing so well.

So far everything is good I’ll be willing to change my stars after I see payment

It's been a good app actually

UserTesting is a big scam. This company is a total scam. They paid me for the first 11 tests but suddenly they rejected my other 18 tests all at once, just to avoid paying me. Beware, do not trust them. Sooner or later, they are going to reject your tests and block your account and they won't pay you. They steal your money, your time and your data.
