Merge, split, organize, convert, protect and optimize PDF files locally on Windows.

ALMARFELD is an independent software project with eleven Windows utilities for comparing files, generating code, inspecting metadata, editing subtitles, checking configuration files, diagnosing CSV files, inspecting signed containers, working with PDFs locally, reviewing application leftovers, checking certificates offline and translating video subtitles.

Merge, split, organize, convert, protect and optimize PDF files locally on Windows.

Create a folder snapshot and compare it later to see which files were added, removed or changed.

Paste JSON and generate typed models for C#, TypeScript, Kotlin, Python or Go.

Inspect file metadata and remove selected fields from supported images and PDFs before sharing.

Step-by-step explanations for common file problems, with verification steps and the limits worth knowing.
Signed documents
Identify attached and detached P7S signatures, inspect signers, extract embedded content and interpret integrity and trust results separately.
File privacy
Review location, device, capture-time and software metadata before sharing a photo, then decide what actually needs to be removed.
Data files
Recognize comma, semicolon, tab and pipe confusion, distinguish encoding problems from structural errors, and export a reviewed copy safely.
PDF workflows
Create a protected copy, understand owner and user credentials, review restrictions, and keep the original while testing the exported document.
Certificates
Review leaf, intermediate and root certificates, distinguish a provided chain from system trust, and recognize expiry or signature problems.
Developer workflows
Compare keys, types and references across environments while keeping values masked, then export a reviewable report or .env.example safely.

ALMARFELD publishes small, practical Windows utilities and detailed guides for the workflows around them. The current applications are free and open source, with local workflows and no ALMARFELD accounts or telemetry. SubFlow also offers optional cloud translation, which sends subtitle text only after consent.
