Biography
Harrison W. Mark is a historical researcher and writer from the Hudson Valley, New York. He graduated from SUNY Oswego in May 2020, with degrees in history and political science, and studied the German language on and off. His love of history began at an early age; growing up around Gilded Age mansions and Revolutionary War battlefields, he was constantly reminded of the living history all around him. Today, he views the study of history as an important look into our own world and individual lives, as a grand tapestry upon which all our stories are interwoven.
His particular fields of interest include ancient Greek and Roman history, as well as the revolutions and societal upheavals of the 18th and 19th centuries. When he is not writing or researching for World History Encyclopedia, Harrison enjoys writing fiction, playing guitar, and planning future trips to Paris. He is also an actor, and can often be seen performing in local theatre - some of his recent credits include Laurie in 'Little Women', Dr. Sanderson in 'Harvey', Laertes in 'Hamlet', and Romeo in 'Romeo and Juliet'.
