Design that’s clear, considered, and grounded in reality
Web Creativity is my independent studio, where I help founders and product teams make sense of complex digital products without noise, jargon, or process theatre. I believe good design comes from understanding the problem deeply, not just the interface. My work focuses on structure, usability, and collaboration, helping teams build products that are practical, thoughtful and designed to scale.
How I Support Teams
Here’s how I typically help teams move complex products forward.
I design clear, intuitive interfaces that help users move through complex products without friction. My focus is on structure first - layouts, hierarchy, and accessibility - with visuals that support the experience rather than distract from it. This usually includes user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and final hi-fi UI, depending on the stage of the product.
I work across responsive web and native app interfaces, from marketing sites to data-heavy product dashboards. I’m comfortable designing for scale, edge cases, and evolving requirements, especially in products that need to grow without becoming inconsistent or fragile.
Before jumping into polished design, I spend time understanding the problem space: what users need, where things break down, and what constraints we’re working within. I use wireframes and prototypes to explore ideas early, align teams, and test assumptions before they become expensive to change.
I help teams bring order to growing products by designing reusable components, patterns, and lightweight systems that are practical to maintain. This often means working within existing systems, improving consistency without over-engineering, and collaborating closely with engineers so designs translate cleanly into code.
I often join existing teams as a senior designer doing UX and UI, while working closely with the design team, product managers and engineers. I’m comfortable stepping into ambiguous products, helping teams make sense of complexity, and moving work forward without unnecessary ceremony.
My Process
I work in a practical, collaborative way and adapt to the needs of the product and the team. Whether starting from scratch or improving something that already exists, I look at the product end-to-end, break down goals, identify gaps, and help teams make sense of complexity quickly. My approach is simple: understand the real problem, design around what actually matters, and work closely with engineers so ideas turn into things that ship. No bloated decks. No jargon. Just clear thinking, thoughtful design, and honest collaboration.
Understand the problem
Clarifying goals, constraints, and what’s actually not working.
Make sense of complexity
Mapping flows, edge cases, and user journeys to bring structure to messy problems.

Design and iterate
From wireframes to interactive prototypes and build-ready UI.
Collaborate and ship
Working closely with engineers to turn designs into real product features.
Refine and evolve
Improving what’s live as the product grows and new insights appear.

What I Care About
Inclusive by default
Designing accessible products that work for real people.
Practical problem-solving
Turning complex systems into usable and delightful experiences.
Design + development empathy
Understanding how things are built, not just how they look.
Global perspective
Designing for people across cultures and contexts.
A Bit More About Me
Hi, I’m Carla a Senior Product Designer originally from Panama, now based in the UK. I have over a decade of experience working across startups, creative studios, and in-house teams, designing products that balance clarity, usability, and structure. I started out exploring both design and front-end development, which gave me a strong understanding of how products are built. While my focus today is product and interface design, that technical background still shapes how I think and work. Even in a digital world, I still start every project the same way: pen and paper first. I’m not here to chase trends. I’m here to make digital more human—balancing clean UI, solid UX, and design that thinks before it shouts. Outside of work, you’ll find me experimenting in the kitchen, learning new languages, or chasing after my daughter.
