You might have to invest some amount in there to buy connects but its good for you. It eliminates the chances of people sending spam proposal for jobs. Some jobs might not hire but it is how it works in carporate world too. Do not complain and build your career. Changed my life

After being with this company for close 10 years I went to sign in and was "suspended" no reason given and no way to complete payment for the freelancer. I raised a support ticket thinking it was some sort of error and was informed an answer in 24-48 hours 7 days later and still no reply.

The freelancer can not access the funds already taken from my account and a threat if I do a charge back or go to PayPal my account would be suspended (I was already suspended anyway!). My concern was the freelancer who did the work couldn't get paid, Upwork had my money but would not release it to the Freelancer or myself. Disgusting customer relations and poor way to treat the freelancers who line their pocket! Greedy company - I won't be back I will take my business and the freelancer to a better platform that does not take 20% off the freelancer.

Upwork was great, now that's past. Not enough jobs. Extremely high competition on each job. The people applies booster and wins the job and those who dont have enough for boosters??? What should they do. Connects are highly expensive now.
