Fantastic people and value! We love DKW!!!

I have had the privilege of knowing Deb personally the last few years. Grateful for our friendship! Our daughter Lucie participated in her teen art class in high school. Lucie’s art excelled when taking her classes. She received art awards at Linn-Mar. She learned an abundance of techniques from Deb! Our other son Ethan, recently started attending her art classes. He seemed to fit in quite well after the first class. Very welcoming group! Deb is awesome at encouraging connections among the teens. She is a very positive person with an astounding gift for art and teaching art! Highly recommend!

We have attended several classes here and have enjoyed them all. We get individual attention if needed and great instruction. very comfy atmosphere. we look forward to attending more classes in the future.

The instructor is very kind, skilled, knowledgeable and helpful. The atmosphere is very relaxed. The group size is small enough to get plenty of help, if needed. It felt very low pressure and accessible.

A great group of artists with awesome talent. Taking classes with Deb is a lot of fun. She is a highly experienced artist in many different mediums, and very willing to share her knowledge. As a teacher she is extremely patient and helpful. It has been a wonderful experience and I am proud to be considered part of the family.

We had so much fun at the sketching class on Saturday! The owners are so sweet and patient with new artists in class. I can’t wait to go back!

Very responsive when reaching out. Provided samples of design to choose from for the commissioned piece, and absolutely love the finished art piece! The whole process was very smooth and simple.

Deb is a great art teacher and the gallery has a variety of art that will please everyone. Also all artists are local artists. There is something for everyone’s taste.

They are great people and are very accommodating and supportive.

Although I live in Georgia, whenever I’m in Cedar Rapids I make sure I visit DKW Gallery which has some of the highest quality artwork I have found anywhere. Deb and her husband run an excellent gallery and in particular, Deb‘s work is fantastic. I recently ordered yet another pet portrait from her and it was like the first, beautifully done and fun to have.

This is my third class I have signed up for. Each class has been informative and inspiring.

Great gallery with amazing art of all kinds. Very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The art is a great value, with a wide range of prices.

I loved the class and would highly recommend them—seriously, I’m already plotting which one to take next (and probably the one after that too). The atmosphere was welcoming, and the instructor was encouraging, which was nice since I was having an off day with my own painting skills.

My only tiny suggestion? It’d be super helpful if the class descriptions mentioned whether they’re for beginners, advanced folks, or all levels. It took me a bit to finally sign up because I wasn’t sure if I’d be in over my head. Thankfully, it was totally all skill levels-friendly—but I had a mini heart attack thinking I might accidentally wander into a “Master Ninja” level class.😅

Mark and Deb did a great job hosting this event! They were very nice to reach out to and being flexible about set up times. Then the day of the event, the map showed where to go and refreshments were offered. They really care about everyone having a good time. The booth fee was small and there was a decent amount of footraffic from a nearby festival. Overall I felt very good being a vendor to this event and the hosts did a great job!

I appreciate the knowledge, skill, and creativity that the people at DKW have and how they share it with the community. I've taken my kid there for various lessons and classes, as well as a Girl Scout troop, and all involved had a wonderful time.
My child has had great experiences learning from Deb at DKW and comes home excited (teenage excitement so nothing too over the top) with the new techniques and skills he's gained.
The environment is also very warm, welcoming, and friendly. My kid never wants to skip a class there and really enjoys the variety of art styles and methods that he can learn through them.
