Love the compact size and portability

Love the compact size and portability! I purchased the zip projector primarily to project my sewing patterns and eliminate printing and cutting paper patterns. The only reason I have it 4⭐️ is because of the battery life. I was under the impression the projector could be used with a charger or plugged into an outlet with the cable. Unfortunately I’ve been unsuccessful with that.

I tried the Zip projector for sewing…

I tried the Zip projector for sewing pattern projection, and found the experience to be less than satisfying. To me it seemed very fiddly, and difficult to remain in focus and calibration fluctuated. I did send a couple of photos to customer service, and was advised on the return policy - which includes paying for return shipment. No tips to try were included in the CS response.

We understand that true-to-size sewing patterns require accurate focus, scale, and calibration. For this setup, we recommend calculating the projector-to-table distance with this formula: projected image width × 1.09 = projector-to-table distance. The projector should also be kept as perpendicular to the cutting surface as possible, then fine-tuned with a calibration grid, ruler, or test square before cutting fabric.

We apologize that these setup tips were not clearly included in our earlier support response. Your feedback is very helpful and will help us improve our customer guidance for sewing projector use.

I am experiencing an issue with the…

I am experiencing an issue with the auto correction feature. The projector repeatedly displays a message indicating that the auto correction has failed, and the feature does not appear to be working properly. The Bluetooth modular component is not working.

It’s very loud and it actually wouldn’t…

It’s very loud and it actually wouldn’t start up correctly once because the fans wouldn’t run inside it

Aurzen does not honor their warranty

I purchased the Aurzen BOOM 3 projector in November 2025 and had problems almost immediately. The remote control stopped working a few days later, and I thought it was an issue with the batteries. So I replaced the batteries with brand new ones and 5 days later, it stopped working. I replaced it with new batteries, it didn’t work. I put the old ones back in and it sorta worked. The remote control works only when it wants to. You can not rely on it to rewind, pause, turn up the volume, etc.

In addition, the power button on both the unit and the remote would randomly stop responding, forcing me to unplug it to shut it off. I emailed support in January and they said it was a known glitch and they were working on a solution, but they offered no real solution other than to unplug the unit when it wouldn’t turn off.

I also purchased a Fire Stick based on Aurzen's advertised compatibility, only to be told through a customer service agent on their website chat that it "should" work and to just return it and buy a Roku instead. No actual help.

By April, the image had visible internal dirt and a spreading smudge — clearly internal hardware defects. They told me to remove the top of the unit and clean it. This unit is completely sealed and it is impossible to remove the top. When I said the cover wouldn't come off, they told me to use "a bit of force" and when I told them that won’t work because it is completely sealed shut, they told me to ask a friend or family member for help. I don’t have a friend or family member who lives near me. Plus, this product was under warranty.

When I sent photos showing that a large, gray curved line was now appearing in the images from the projector, they told me the BOOM 3 was discontinued and that they could not fix it or replace it. They said that since the product had been used for sometime, they could only offer a 60% refund due to "depreciation" — for a defective product that failed through no fault of my own, still within its 24-month warranty.

If you look at the reviews on Amazon of most Aurzen products, you’ll see that users initially love them BUT there’s always some type of issue that Aurzen refuses to fix. This company does not honor their warranties and does not offer actual technical support or service.

Save yourself the headache and buy from a company that actually stands behind their products.

So far extremely happy with delivery…

So far extremely happy with delivery time, product and its features it really has everything dialed in! It is a fantastic buy for the budget I had and it really is top notch quality. Now we see how long it lasts but I like the 2 year warranty.

High Resolution but minimal streaming access

The projector works well, but it wasn't well noted that you can't download most streaming apps, which is really annoying. I can't download HBO, Peacock, Paramount, YouTube TV (which is double dumb cause you get YouTube). The image quality is great, which is why I still gave it 4 stars, however the auto-focus rarely works, but it's not difficult to do manually. Highly adjustable for screen placement.

Aurzen Boom 3 Projector!!

I ordered this Aurzen Boom 3 Projector, directly off there website, saving me an absolute fortune.

I waited for emails the delivery, but none arrived, then suddenly, I got one saying on the lines that Amazon is delivering it, now I'd like to know how on earth you knew I had an Amazon account?

I've not had a Amazon account long, as my partner used to order me my stuff and I pay them.

I just couldn't understand how it got from the website to Amazon delivering it?

The projector is rather heavy, I've watched many YouTube videos and read many reviews online and Amazon.

I've bought many different types of projector screens, one I've not tried yet.

But it eats electricity at 240V / 140W when ones trying to save power, by not having high powered gadgets, ok my microwave is new for the reason it's total output is 700W but it uses 240V / 320W was so I could plug it into one of my power stations.

I plugged that projector into my 1000W power station it didn't last long. Why so many watts?

I shouldn't have bought it, I couldn't find how many watts it was in the description, I'll give it to my brother.

It's not got a very sharp picture, that's why I bought several projector screens I don't have a big enough room, despite watching many YouTube videos there projector was even closer to the wall than I had it, I tried everything all the gadgets inside making it bigger and smaller just couldn't get a clear enough image it's blurry.

It's in a Aurzen Projector zip bag upstairs till I see my brother.

I won't be buying another ever. I have my Samsung Galaxy S8, S9 & S10 Ultra 14" Tablets they work for me with its 4× speakers in each one. Plus I have an 8" BlackView Tablet works brilliantly.

I shall be unsubscribing from emails as I won't be buying another, they ain't anything like projectors from years ago where a white cotton sheet would suffice for a screen and had a sharp image.
