Overview – Codes

 Code is to specify how particular defects, defect causes, problems & so on are to be
recorded and valuated.
 Code groups are summary of codes according to content (Ex: surface attribute, color)

 Cataog is the summary of code groups according to content (Ex: defect type, cause,
characteristics attribute). These catalogs are used to define, manage and standardize
information.
