International Criminal Police Organization


 Interpol is the police forces
organization that primarily manifest
global or international cooperation
in addressing transnational crime. Its
headquarters was initially located in
Vienna Austria (it is where Interpol
was founded) but at present it is
transferred to Lyon, France.
Johannes "Johann" Schober was an Austrian jurist, law
enforcement official, and politician. Schober was appointed
Vienna Chief of Police in 1918 and became the founding
president of Interpol in 1923, holding both positions until his
death.

 The Commission for the control of INTERPOL’s Files
 Interpol’s supreme governing body, it meets annually and
General comprises delegates appointed by each member country. The
Assembly assembly takes all important decisions related to policy,
resources, working methods, activities and programmes.
Executive  This 13 member committee is elected by the General Assembly,
Committee and comprises the president, 3 vice presidents, and nine delegates
covering the four regions.
 Located in Lyon France. The general secretariat operates 24 hours
a day, 365 days a year and is run by the Secretary General.
 Officials from more than 80 countries work side-by-side in any of
the organization’s four official languages:

National  Each Interpol member country maintains a national central bureau
staffed by national law enforcement officers. The NCB is the
Central designated contact point for the General Secretariat, regional
Bureaus offices and other member countries requiring assistance with
overseas investigations and the location and apprehension of
fugitives.
Advisers  These are experts in a purely advisory capacity, who may be
appointed by the Executive Committee and confirmed by the
General Assembly.
The
Commission
for the control  The CCF is an independent body that ensures that all personal
of INTERPOL’s data processed through INTERPOL’s channels conforms to the
rules of the Organization.

INTERPOL’s current President is Kim Jong Yang, who was elected at
the 87th General Assembly in Dubai in November 2018. Mr Kim will
serve as President until 2020, completing the four-year mandate of
his predecessor Mr Meng, who resigned in 2018.
The current Secretary General is Jürgen Stock of Germany, appointed by the 83rd General Assembly
session in Monaco, November 2014, and reappointed in 2019 to serve a second five-year term by the
88th General Assembly in Chile.
