FORMAL TYPOLOGIES
In architecture, one of the most important elements when designing is the sense of the
Form. The form is closely related to architectural function, which is
determined by the concept of it.
FUNCTIONAL TYPOLOGIES
The functional typology starts from the form and this directly refers to the function that the
buildings play. Here the "symbol" is combined with the "use" in the same category, due to
that a building receives a specific formal characterization due to its function. Both, form and
function, merge into a single aspect of a practical nature.
To say that form follows function is a mistake. Form and function must be one.

The functional typology is the classification according to the use of the buildings used by the
