SPECIALIZED WORKS & SERVICES
IN BUILDING CONSTRUCTION

It deals with specific expertise for

further enhancement of the
Architectural Interior and Exterior
Components of a project.

Specialized works and services in

architecture is to ensure that every
aspect of a building is meticulously
designed and executed to meet
specific functional, aesthetic, and
safety requirements.
ARCHITECTURAL
INTERIORS
It involves the Detailed
Planning and Design of the
Indoor/ Enclosed Areas on
any Proposed Building/
Structure, including Retrofit,
Renovation, Rehabilitation
or Expansion of Work which
shall cover all architectural
and utility aspects,
including the Architectural
Lay Outing of all building
engineer systems found
therein.
ARCHITECTURAL INTERIORS
Examples
Porcelain - It's a fine, translucent ceramic made from
kaolinite clay, fired at high temperatures to achieve its
strength and delicate, glass-like quality. Used in art,
tableware, and technology, it's renowned for its purity and
durability.

Smart Glass - Smart glass, also known as switchable glass

or electrochromic glass, can change its transparency in
response to voltage, light, or heat. This technology allows
architects to design buildings with dynamic facades that
can control light and privacy, reducing the need for blinds
or curtains.

3D Wall Panels - Three-dimensional wall panels made from

materials like gypsum, bamboo, or reclaimed wood can
add depth and texture to walls, transforming plain spaces
into visually engaging areas.
ARCHITECTURAL INTERIORS
Examples
Gypsum- is a versatile building material widely used in modern
architecture and design. It is non-combustible and contains crystal
water, which makes it useful in building elements that prevent a fire
from spreading for up to 4 hours.

Bamboo- is known for its strength and flexibility. According to

Thomas: "Its compressive strength is equal to that of concrete,
while its tensile strength reaches steel's numbers." Thus, the
material becomes extremely versatile and can be used as a
structural element in roofs, beams, columns, trusses, and other
architectural elements.

Reclaimed Wood- also known as salvaged or recycled

wood, encompasses wood that has been previously
used in structures and is repurposed for new
applications.
ARCHITECTURAL INTERIORS
Examples
Hydro ceramics- Hydro ceramics are a new technology for
constructing walls and allow walls to react to outdoor temperatures.
These smart walls are made of clay panels and water capsules that
absorb water to cool a building. A hydro ceramic wall acts as a cooling
device by reducing the temperature and increasing the humidity.

Biochar- is a substance that resembles charcoal and is made from

decomposing organic matter at high temperatures without oxygen.
Manufacturers add soil additives to improve water absorption and
capture humidity in biochar.

Pigmented Concrete- is made by adding dry powder or

liquid concrete during the mixing stage. We derive most
of these pigments from iron oxide or dyes. Traditionally,
concrete is grey, but pigmented concrete produces
warmer shades of yellow, brown, red, green, blue, and
their color derivations.
ARCHITECTURAL INTERIORS

RETROFITTING
is the process of modifying an existing building to improve energy
efficiency and reduce its carbon footprint.
ARCHITECTURAL INTERIORS

RENOVATION
the process of restoring old conditions and giving new life to outdated
structures. It includes projects that transform, maintain, restore and/or
preserve elements of existing constructions.
ARCHITECTURAL INTERIORS
REHABILITATION AND EXPANSION WORK
Rehabilitation the process of restoring and improving an existing building
to make it functional, safe, and up to current standards.
Expansion work in the context of architecture involves increasing the size
and capacity of an existing building to meet new needs or accommodate
more users.
ACOUSTIC DESIGN AND SERVICES
Involves the detailed planning and design to control
sound transmission for capability with the architectural
design concept.
ACOUSTIC DESIGN AND SERVICES
Examples

Foam- Lightweight and versatile, foam panels are easy to install.

They are effective in absorbing mid to high-frequency sounds.

Fiberglass- These panels offer better absorption for lower

frequencies and are often used in environments with diverse
sound issues.

Mineral Wool- Similar to fiberglass but denser, perfect for

controlling low-frequency noises.
ACOUSTIC DESIGN AND SERVICES
Examples

Acoustic Panels - Innovative acoustic materials, including

recycled PET felt and micro-perforated wood panels, can
be used to improve sound quality in interior spaces while
adding visual interest.

Undulated and Angled Panels- the varying angles and different

sized depths/projections of each module, it can provide effective
sound scattering in between a range of 500 Hz to 8000 Hz. This
allows an even distribution of sound within the room where they are
applied and prevents acoustical defects causing disturbance due to
harsh sound reflections, acoustical glare, echo or flutter echo.

Striped Panels - This type of panel provides effective

sound dispersion due to its variations in both the depth
and length of each element. It also delivers an organic
look when placed next to other modules.
ARCHITECTURAL
LIGHTING
Involves the detailed
planning and design of
light transmission,
timing and control for
compatibility with the
architectural design
concept.
ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING
Examples
LED Panels- refer to flat, thin lighting fixtures that utilize Light
Emitting Diodes (LEDs) to provide efficient and versatile illumination.
These panels are designed to distribute light evenly across a surface,
creating a uniform and glare-free lighting effect.

Polycarbonate- Composed of microcell panels, polycarbonate offers

various solutions for the use of natural lighting in architectural
enclosures. Whether applied to facades, interior spaces or roofs, the
benefits of polycarbonate, such as lightness, clean lines, colored
panels, and light effects, offer a wide range of design freedom.

Glass- is a cornerstone material in modern architecture and design,

admired for its versatility, durability, and aesthetic appeal. From
enhancing natural light to offering improved safety features, different
types of glass serve various crucial roles in buildings and interiors.
SITE & PHYSICAL
PLANNING
Refers to the orderly
arrangement within a piece of
land or property on which
vertical structures such as
Buildings, Monuments and the
like, as well as horizontal
developments such as Rights-
Of- Way(ROWS), open spaces
and activity spaces are to be
proposed.
