SELF DESCRIPTION

Self description means what a person thinks about him and what he realise about
him through others behaviour, in other words what persons thinks about him. In Roger’s
view the self description can be divided into to parts “I” and “Me”.

WHAT THEY WANT

1. PARENTS

Academically Good, Career wise OK, Good Relations with family member,
Respect from you, Success they expect from you, house hold responsibilities, nicely
look after to parents, person of quite independent views.

2. TEACHERS

Good Academically, Good in Sports, Take part in activities of Institute,


Disciplined, Obedient, Co-operative, Gave Respect.

3. EMPLOYERS

Disciplined, Regular, Express you well, Responsible and Dependable.

4. FRIENDS

Helping nature, Share, Enjoy, Cooperative, Trustful, Jolly nature, Make no


distinction, Dependable.

5. SELF

Good Average knowledge, Confident, took decision quickly, Pursue activity till I
got favourable result, Cheerful and good caliber, Adventure loving person etc.
MODEL SELF DESCRIPTION

Taking account of my attitude and behaviour I would like to describe by self as to


what the people near me feel about me.

PARENTS OPINION

My parents consider me as an obedient child. They are pretty satisfied with my


behaviour with neighbours and guests. They like my modern approach towards life and
really like my liveliness character. They think that I spent more time with my friends but I
managed the time accordingly and also I am trying to improve on this subject.

TEACHER’S OPINION

My teachers had always a soft corner in their hearts for me due to my all round
personality. They never hesitated in giving me the responsibilities to organise a function
or a show. They always showed faith in me and like my behaviour with my seniors and
juniors. They really appreciation my performance during the exams and I always obeyed
their orders with full respect. They always wanted me to improve my vocabulary which I
did by walking on their advice and by learning new words from magazines and news
papers.

FRIENDS OPINION

Due to my cheerful, jovial and helpful character my friends used to enjoy my


company. They entrusted me with their secrets and we faced the problems together.
We always help each other with their weakness and did group studies to perform well in
the exams. Always spent adequate time with each other and also enjoyed social
evenings. We always use to work on any project together and help those who needed.

SELF OPINION

I have always been a person with a strong and bold character. I like to be in
discipline and I managed time very efficiently. I like gaining more knowledge by reading
books and magazines. Due to my fathers profession I got the chance to visit various
places and I really enjoyed it. Visiting new places means new friends, new language
and gaining more knowledge. I enjoyed beauty of nature and react positively to
criticism. I like the life full of adventure and risk. So that my will power increases
alongwith them.

QUALITIES YOU WANT TO IMPROVE

I am really looking for a job which helps me to improve and enhance my skills
and provides me with what I enjoyed. I really like Defence forces on these grounds.
They really provide a life full of adventure with experience. They really help a person to
enhance their skills through various courses. Therefore I would like to join Indian Armed
Forces.
