Vmax = 4.35125 V
Vmin = -6.75997 V
VDC = 0.318 * Vmax = 0.318 * 4.35125
= 1.3837 V
Vrms = 0.707 * Vmax = 0.707 * 4.35125
= 3.076
Vac = [Vrms2 – Vac2]1/2 = 2.747 V
Ripple Factor = R.F. = Vac / VDC = 2.747 / 1.3837
R.F. = 1.98

Full Wave Bridge Rectifier

Vmax = 3.7182 V
VDC = 2 * 0.318 * Vmax = 0.318 * 3.7182
= 2.3618 V
Vrms = 0.707 * Vmax = 0.707 * 3.7182
= 2.62906 V
Vac = [Vrms2 – Vac2]1/2 = 1.1549 V
Ripple Factor = R.F. = Vac / VDC = 1.1549 / 2.3618
R.F. = 0.498

Comments:
From the above experiment, it is clear that the ripples and hence the ripple factor
decrease, as the value of capacitance is increased.
