Chapter III

METHODS AND PROCEDURES


Research Design
In this study, the researchers will use the descriptive
research design.
The descriptive research design will describe the specific
profile of the respondents. In addition, the researchers will
use a survey to gather information to assess that the
information gathered are based on the facts and opinions of the
respondents.

Respondents
The respondents of the study consist of 3 types of
vehicle: motorcycle, tricycle and van.
From the respondents in motorcycle their ages 35-30 year’s old,
tricycle 25-50 years old and van 50-40 years old. All of them
are males and a licensed driver.

Data Gathering Tool

The data required in this study will be gathered using a


questionnaire adopted in the study entitled “LEVEL OF AWARENESS
ON ROAD SAFETY MEASURES AMONG ALL VEHICLES DRIVERS IN RIPANG,
CONNER, APAYAO”.
It is modified related to his study. The questionnaire will be

divided into two parts. The first part describes the profile of

the respondents. Meanwhile, the second part will consist of

questions on how these drivers handle the different kinds of

awareness in the road safety measures.

In determining the awareness in this field, they will be

asked to answer the questionnaire that will be given to them

using the scale with the corresponding adjectival values below:


Data Gathering Procedure

Before the conduct of the study, the researchers seek

permission from the office of the University President through

the Vice-President for Academics noted by Senior High School

Principal. Upon approval, the researchers will distribute the

questionnaires to the respondents and these were retrieved

immediately.

The researchers will instruct the respondents on how they

will answer the questionnaires and what to fill in for the

additional information needed.

After which, the data will be arranged, analyzed and

interpreted using appropriate statistical tools. A tally will


be used to consolidate the data that were tabulated, discussed

and interpreted. From the data, the findings and conclusion

will be derived.

Data Analysis

After the set of questionnaires will be retrieved, the

researchers will use to collate and tabulate them for

statistical treatment.

For the profile of the respondents, the frequency count

and percentage distribution will be employed.
