Ans to 1 (i)

Digital firm is a particular firm that almost all of the organization's important business
relationships with customers, suppliers, and employers are digitally enabled and monitored.

Digital firms are very powerful because in this era almost every companies can use internet and
digital management systems for e-commerce transactions with customers and suppliers, for
managing internal business process, and for coordinating with suppliers and other business
partners. E-commerce includes e-commerce and the management and coordination of the
entire enterprise. Digital management is one of the key corporate assets.

Ans to 1 (ii)

The e-commerce and e-business are quite renowned terms in our daily life of business students.
E indicates the electronic.This means that both the commerce and business is works
electronically.

There are some differences that E-commerce deals with the external environtment, customers
and delivery, etc electronically. The e-business is includes all the aspects of commerce as well as
the internal processes. E-commerce can not deal with the cash flows, internal finances, internal
inventory. E-commerce will deal into external environment, external stakeholder and logistics.
The e part in the business and commerce is that all these aspects are managed through
information technology.
Famous example of E-commerce can be Alibaba.com or Amazon.com.

E-governance concerns to the governing functions by state agencies or departments. In the old
time, all the governance work was done via the paper work and the file work was very crucial in
the governance. Now with the blessing of Information Technology, it is now possible to carry
out all the activities via the internet or using information technology & websites.
The governance function like control and management, tracking and dissemination of
information, granting of approval and all the related activities can now be done electronically
with the help of necessary tools and technologies. For example: Bangladesh started fully
electronically applying system for E-passport and NID recently.

Ans to Q2 (i)

Before knowing about super cookies, we have to know about cookies first. A cookie file is saved
to our PC, mobile phone or tablet from the browser. It stores the website's name, and also a
unique ID that represents us as a user. This means companies can tailor their websites to us
because they know some information about us already.

Now we can know about super cookies.


Super cookies don't use local storage as regular cookies do. They are inserted by our Internet
Service Provider (ISP) rather than the website itself. We may not be aware of their existence as
the ISP might use them in secret. Our personal data can be revealed to any website and
potentially sold to third parties.
Super cookies allow third parties to track us too.
Super cookies can restore the data of our deleted cookies and link the data with new ones. Ad
blockers can’t block them, and we can't clear them by deleting our browser history and cache
data.
Virtual Private Network can help us from avoiding from these bad cookies.

Regular cookies are not bad for us because it is a small piece of code that is left in our web
browser by a website we visited. The cookie places information on our device so that the
website could later identify us as a returning user but super cookies do not use local storage
and removing them is not an easy process.

Disruptive technology is a newly developed technology that creates much more value than the
existing old age technology and it has much more potentials to vastly change the way of work,
living, do the business and increase the economic output.
A disruptive technology changes a product that was usually so expensive and complicated to
make that just a small number of people with a considerable measure of resources had the
access to it.

Discussing some of the great disruptive technology that changed the whole world as well as
these did impact on current business era too,

1. Internet - It it is increasingly cheap, mobile and computing gadgets with the help of internet
network has brought advantages in all the sectors of business. Online shopping and Banking,
Digital advertisement, E-commerce industry has led to an increase business, improved
efficiency of business activities.
2. Cloud - The combination of computer hardware and software resources are used to deliver
convenient, network access and services over the internet to a shared configurable computing
devices.
In a simple form via cloud, we can store data in a huge level and can do computing through the
internet from anywhere in world and can access it.
Best use of this technology is in IT services, education, banking etc.
3. Renewable Electricity - Renewable sources, such as the sun, wind, rain, tides etc are put to
use to generate electricity. Advantages of renewable electricity includes environmental
benefits, reliable energy source, economic benefits, stabilized energy prices etc. This disruptive
technology can help business in cost-cutting and improving efficiency.

Green computing is the environmentally responsible and environment friendly use of


computers and other resources.
In a big picture, it is also the study of designing, engineering, manufacturing, using and
disposing of computing devices in a way that reduces the environmental impact.

Strategic objectives are the biggest goals for the company. They describes it as what the
company will do to try to fulfill its mission.

Business firms invest heavily in information systems to achieve six strategic budiness objectives.
• Operational excellence
• New products, services, and business models
• Customer and supplier intimacy
• Improved decision making
• Competitive advantage
• Survival

Ans to the Q (ii)

There are five main ways in which information technology has brought about a huge change in
the way in which people conduct business in different parts of the world.

1. IT Innovations. A continuing stream of information technology innovations is transforming


the traditional business world. Everyday there is a new innovation is happening
2. New Business Models: New ideas are coming forward such as Uber, Pathao, Foodpanda,
TruckLagbe, Chaldal, evaly etc
3. E-commerce Expanding: Information system is helping people to expand their ecommerce.
People can have a direct connection with customers and suppliers. For example: Amazon
4. Management Changes: With new mobile smartphones, high-speed wireless Wi-Fi networks,
and tablets, remote sales people on the road are only seconds away from their managers’
questions and oversight. It is getting easier to connect with employees and monitor them and
take decisions and gathering data.
