Postcards is a shoegaze/grunge trio from Beirut, Lebanon, featuring Julia Sabra (vocals/guitar), Pascal Semerdjian (drums), and Marwan Tohme (guitar/bass). Formed in 2012, they are Lebanon’s longest-running alternative band, crafting a sound that blends dream pop, shoegaze, post-punk, and noise.

Postcards released their fifth album, Ripe, on March 28, 2025, via Beirut’s Ruptured Records and Berlin’s t3 records. Born from anger, grief, and uncertainty, Ripe captures the band at their most intense and assured.

Over the past decade, Postcards has navigated Lebanon’s social and political turmoil, channeling themes of alienation, melancholy, and resistance. Working with longtime collaborator Fadi Tabbal, they craft textured soundscapes that reflect Beirut’s post-war generation. Deeply embedded in the city’s music scene, members are also part of Sanam and Snakeskin. Through raw intensity and Sabra’s poignant lyrics, Postcards continue to transform chaos into transcendent sound.
