I have been Doing since 1978 when I built my first business around a mobile disco, which I co-owned with a friend. This was a very successful venture as we able to DJ regularly at functions, including weddings, birthday parties, local universities, up to 1981.
I started Doing in 1995 when a friend bought me a couple of 'decks', which allowed me to practice 'beat-mixing' in my bedroom, before feeing confident enough to go out and play in various venues across London and the south-east.
I got my first regular Doing slot on a Saturday evening on a pirate radio station playing UK Garage. from 1996-98. On moving to the north east of England I embarked on a very illustrious and lucrative career Doing at a. number of establishments across the north-east. I was the resident DJ at The Dickens Inn from 2000 - 2008, playing a wide range of music including soul, disco, uplifting vocal house, R&B, reggae, dance classics to a discerning crowd of 20 - 60 year olds.
