Shamhat is a DJ and producer with audio landscapes ranging from colourful sunsets at the seaside to wild riots in gloomy streets.
Growing up in Berlin they spend most of their youth between the rehearsal rooms of punk and metal bands and sweaty techno clubs, until they found their way into the depths of electronic music making. They defy categorization of their sound as such always goes hand in hand with limitations and restrictions and rather enjoy tearing down these boxes.
Shamhat tries to take the listener on a journey, create an athmosphere that develops in various directions and most importantly, make you dance. As a rebellious slut by nature, you will often find elements of sex, genderfuckery and resistance in their music.
