In 2013, The Fader profiled Mo Laudi as “the only South African DJ in Paris, and one of the city’s best.” The description reflected a particular moment in the Paris scene of the early 2010s, capturing Laudi’s position at a time when he was introducing South African house, kwaito, and Afro-electronic sounds into the city’s club culture.
