Hailed as "Brighton's Lee Scratch Perry” (Rob Da Bank BBC Radio 1), longtime reggae-dub producer Richie Phoe has been releasing tracks since 2006.
Richie has collaborated and remixed many notable artists along the way including Max Sedgley, Tippa Irie, Earl 16, Sola Rosa, Wah Wah 45s, Horseman, Solo Banton and others. He has received massive radio play from David Rodigan, Don Letts, Daddy G (Massive Attack), Huey Morgan, Nick Manasseh, Jon Jones, Rob Da Bank (BBC Radio 1) and Steve Lamacq (BBC 6 Music). He is an occasional guest on the Roots Garden Radio Show and has DJ'ed at festivals such as Bestival and Port Elliot, and regularly plays on the Roots Garden Sound System.
His track 'Bumpy's Lament' has seen multiple 7” re-issues and is approaching 3 million plays on Spotify. His track, Two Tree Island, has since been featured on the Handmaid’s Tale TV series, and other tracks were paired with MTV's Dirty Sanchez show.
